About the only thing you can do I guess is drop ISP's who try and take advantage of the repeal.
The law has only been there since 2015. I don't see the big deal. The internet worked fine for me in 2014.

the law basically reinforced rules that had been in place since dial up. This wasn't some new fangled law that Obama put in place.
And besides, I still haven't heard any good reasons why it should be repealed. Anybody? Please?

Been with my ISP since 09. Went for about 2 years without issue, but started experiencing major slowdowns with streaming services beginning in 2012. When Neutrality passed, the slowdowns stopped, but instead I was mysteriously given a data limit with my plan when I originally had umlimited Data. Every time I went over my limit, I was charged an extra 10 bucks a month without warning.
I'm tired of getting jerked around. I'll just spend more time at work and at public wifi hotspots if I have to. I am not accepting anymore new charges.

It's quite simple. More power and more money to corporations. The only constituency the trump administration is really concerned with.

Both my providers (Tmobile and now Verizon) just slow down my speed after I reach my limit. It was free with Tmobile and I think I pay a small standard monthly fee with Verizon.

I have Suddenlink. They suck.
I'm debating switching over to AT&T, but I'm going to watch and see how they handle this carefully as well. Suddenlink has taught me to never trust your ISP.

not only this, but it probably won't be long until the government votes to ban municipalities from building their own fiber network as well. Another side effect of large corporations buying the government.

you can probably kiss streaming services like Sling TV goodbye if you have internet through ATT or Comcast, or any big company that offers internet and cable. Now they will be able to block you from streaming through those services and force you to buy their cable package.

From 2012 on that had been changing, mostly in select areas as opposed to nation wide.

The hellfire and brimstone posts are strong in this thread!! I'm guessing based on the aforementioned hellfire and brimstone posts, that the internet never existed until 2015. Which is strange because Al Gore was claiming he invented the internet 15+ years before it existed. If you believe the hellfire and brimstone posts, that is.
RE: Possible Bomb Threat At "Net Neutrality" Repeal Vote; Repeal Passes 3-2
If you live in a place with a good number of ISP's this isn't actually going to be that big a deal most likely. If you live in a place that only has 1 true high speed ISP that's where this could be trouble.
RE: Possible Bomb Threat At "Net Neutrality" Repeal Vote; Repeal Passes 3-2
I see both sides of the issue.
Many people have 1 legitimate option for internet at their home. Half of Wilmington is this way. You can get jerked around very easily without recourse
However, I don't trust the federal government to police the internet
