RE: Biden* cant understand why he sees signs supporting Trump and signs that say F Joe - WKUYG - 04-19-2024 09:56 AM I think Trump has wide support (for a republican) in the black over 30 working class up. But when you add in the 100s of thousands 18 to 25 year old black votes that would not take the time to walk or drive to a poll, stand in line, vote. But they will fill out something mailed to them and stick it in the mail or give that ballot to the people going door to door in these large cities. Then you add in the older voter that hasn't voted for years but now will because of mail in.... that is hard to overcome even with Trump taking a larger % of the black vote and it's why Biden is President. You can lay that at the feet of stupid republicans that let the democrats do this. No matter what ODUam says, over and over.... Trump was shouting and warning the republicans about this very early on RE: Biden* cant understand why he sees signs supporting Trump and signs that say F Joe - BartlettTigerFan - 04-19-2024 09:57 AM (04-19-2024 09:56 AM)WKUYG Wrote: I think Trump has wide support (for a republican) in the black over 30 working class up. It's also why the GOP is completely worthless for not at least attempting to do something about mail-ins. I just update my post to add that in RE: Biden* cant understand why he sees signs supporting Trump and signs that say F Joe - Bear Catlett - 04-19-2024 10:04 AM "It happens all the time." LOL!!! In 2020, Biden captured 92% of the African American vote---and that allowed Biden to squeak by in the electoral college. Only 75% of African American voters said they would cast their ballots for Biden in a Jan 2024 poll. Recent polling among African Americans has found that 30% said their financial situation had worsened under Biden--indicating further erosion of Biden support in this demographic is likely. If only republicans could come forward with some specific proposals, instead of just, "We're not Biden," I think they could make some huge inroads here. If republicans got 35-40% of the Black vote we could see an almost Reagan-esque blowout. And I think a combination of Bismarck universal private health care and a subsistence-level universal basic income following either Milton Friedman's negative income tax ot the Boort-Linder prebate/prefund could get them in that range. Mistake #1 is thinking these same voters would vote for all or even most republicans. To a lot of people, black and white..... Trump is not a "republican" Lets just talk about working America black and white most don't trust republicans any more than democrats. At this point in history any overall gains with republican votes from this group is basically your favor saying.... enemy of my enemy But that's no where close to the same trust these voters have in Trump or willing to turn out in a large enough voting block when Trump is not on the ballot. Maybe I'm the stupid one and off on this but in my view a lot of people just dont seem to get "it". To a lot of working Americans Trump is that THIRD PARTY that most people who call themselves libertarians scream for but just dont get. Those 'libertarians' that say well Trump isn't this or he's not that.... will never get it. NO ONE, let me repeat, NO ONE, is going to fit into that box of where a voter agrees with 100% or 90% or most likely 75%. So the 'libertarians' will never have that 3rd party president. To get this back on topic.... most black voters know republicans in the house is going to screw them over just as much as the democrats. They know this because just like the working white voter they saw how the refused to back Trump till the polls turned. Then a lot of the party still hedged their bet/vote went against Trump. This change in black voting is because of Trump and those fighting to change the course of the republican party at the roots. Sorry, but any Republican platform that has two massive, government run, giveaway programs at its center is not exactly a conservative plan that excites me. I guess by the time I die I may be the only one in this country that believes America is about individual self determination. That the foundation of the country is suppose to be that you are left alone to strive for your desired level of quality of life and that you get to use your acquired resources in a fashion consistent with your character and beliefs. And if you knew anything about those, you would know thar neither is a government run giveaway program and that the originators of all of them--Bismarck, Friedman, Boortz, and Linder--were all pretty conservative. Dont think you need it with Trump on the ticket. This is the rare presidential election where BOTH candidates are completely known quantities. We dont have to guess what kind of president either will be---as each has already served as president---we KNOW exactly what we are going to get with either candidate. African Americans---along with most of the working class---saw substantial financial improvement under Trump---and the same groups have suffered mightily under Biden. I will not be at all surprised if Trump turns this into a Reagan like landslide sending Biden to one of the largest Democrat presidential candidate defeats in history. I dont think anyone is buying the media's pro-Biden propaganda BS at this point----and thats all Biden ever really had going for him. I was just reading a article on someone moving back to the US from Berlin and complaining about health care and child care. So let use Germany and if a couple made 60k each or $120,000 their tax rate is 42% or $50,400 of that $120,000 A very quick basic using a tax calculator in American on a couple making the same with 2 children. Their tax rate with no other deductions other than standard and the children would be 7.5% or close to $7,000 while most states are around 6% lets use the 7.5% so that's another $7,000.... or $14,000 tax state and federal out of $120,000 in income. $36,000 less than Berlin. In most of this country I would think $24,000 or 20% of your income would cover health and child care. So that leaves $12,000 a year or right at 2/3 of the average home loan. You think Americans are going to be OK with 42% of their money going to the federal government? You believe the STATES are going to be OK with this? America is based on a 100% difference set of rules than you want. It why we fought wars over it because we the people wanted it different. edit: the article also complained about crime and a few other things. Diversity has a cost a very very very high cost...Berlin is 97% WHITE AND 88% OF THE PEOPLE ARE gERMAN Quote:Employment income - Employed persons are subject to income tax on remuneration received from employment. Employment income includes the following:

Most of everything you said above is why I'm starting to believe Trump can overcome mail in voting 2024. That he couldn't in 2020 and that alone cost him the election. I'm starting to have doubts even the cheating will not be enough. When I say cheating I'm mainly talking about mail in vote gathering and other people other than the voter filling that ballot out and sending it in. Here's my link: https://apnews.com/article/19ade6dafb5b6f82f324e4be9b12a7a0 Shouting noisily about the unfairness of it all is clearly enough for the Trumplet WKUYG. But it would have been even better if the man who was president in 2020 could have been actually found a way to be effective in preventing the mess of mail-in voting. Ah, but that would have meant admitting that he was wrong about the evil imp Fauci. Can't expect Donald to ever admit fallibility now, can we? |
