So, play and win all your games, conference championship and you're in contention for the one guaranteed spot, and perhaps another occasionally. (6 wins won't be considered 'successful'.)

Hopefully several of the lesser who cares? bowl games will fold, at least hopefully enough so that teams will have to have a winning record in order to get to a bowl game. We'll see.

So I guess what you are saying is I need to not plan on any Christmas trips next year quite yet in case Rice is hosting one of those Dec. 20-21 games?
