Cancel Troy vs Coastal - Fear the TEAL - 12-06-2020 04:46 PM
No need for this game to be played. Have ULM play Troy this week. This will give Troy more access to earlier bowls. Will also give Coastal the same amount of weeks to prepare for the CG as UL.

Heck no! I want a shot at Coastal. I don’t care about any potential conference payouts, it’s just 300k per school or sth. If this was the old BCS system with $15M payout on the line, I would be ok with cancelling this game but not with this post-BCS bowl crap.

Not that this is the reason I don't think this is a good idea...but if Troy gets a bowl bid, it's probably at our (GSU's) expense. I think this is only "better" in terms of bowls if there's a chance we send six teams OR if there's a good chance we get left out anyway.

Yep, I am sorry Troy that you are standing on the tracks with a train barreling down, but Coastal needs to beat Troy and Louisiana to have any shot at a NY6 bowl. I don't think the committee can overlook a 12-0 team with 3 Top25 wins.
