Heck no! I want a shot at Coastal. I don’t care about any potential conference payouts, it’s just 300k per school or sth. If this was the old BCS system with $15M payout on the line, I would be ok with cancelling this game but not with this post-BCS bowl crap.

I think he has a good point. ULL will have a week off before Sunbelt Champ Game.

I want to play Troy. I want Louisiana to have two weeks to rest up and game plan for Coastal. It’s only fair.

Not that this is the reason I don't think this is a good idea...but if Troy gets a bowl bid, it's probably at our (GSU's) expense. I think this is only "better" in terms of bowls if there's a chance we send six teams OR if there's a good chance we get left out anyway.

Yep, I am sorry Troy that you are standing on the tracks with a train barreling down, but Coastal needs to beat Troy and Louisiana to have any shot at a NY6 bowl. I don't think the committee can overlook a 12-0 team with 3 Top25 wins.
