I don't follow A&M and LSU's baseball social media, but I feel like the energy alone coming from Cruz and Bostick would be enough to win over guys. Couple that with the clear focus on developing players for the next level, Cruz's next level bonafides, and Cruz's passion for the Rice experience, and I feel pretty confident we might continue to win these recruiting battles.

The “developing players for the next level” comment makes me think of UND (University of North Dakota) hockey. They recruit with that focus and with how they run their program. When their new arena was being built some questioned why they weren’t installing International (Olympic) size ice which many of the college programs use. Their answer was blunt, they were developing NHL players so they need to play on NHL size ice.

I remember when I first saw Reckling and I commented to Tina about how similar it was to Rosenblatt. She said 'shhhhhh!'. I didn't understand then as I thought it was a great selling tool, but it seems they were saying it internally but didn't want it getting out (as it would be fairly easy for others to replicate as well).

Looks like we just landed another one, and another pick time pickup. I had heard we were close over the weekend, but was not given the name of the commit. Still waiting, but both Bostick and Janish have tweeted their Owl meme.
Edit: He finally tweeted-- it's jake mader-cooper, ss/RHP, Class of '24, from Pearland. He already throws 90 MPH on his fastball as a HS Freshman.

Yes, a sophomore this upcoming Spring season. That 90 MPH recording was reported by PerfectGame earlier this year during his Freshman year.

I have a close former high school friend who was in coaching for many years. His son-in-law played baseball at Rice and he knows Coach Cruz extremely well. Apparently he has extremely high praise for Cruz both as a person and a coach.
