announcing at 4pm.

From his twitter account it says:

"Reilly holds offers from Wagner, Delaware, Towson, Fairfield, Fordham, Radford, Stetson, Rider, among others."

I'm assuming we offered as well from your post. Nobody on that list I would really want to lose to from a recruiting standpoint.

Not sure if we even have an offer out to him. a buddy in NOVA said we may have offered, which is why I was asking

He choose the Blue Chickens. See him in the Burg. 05-mafia

I'd guess we did not offer....

The O'Connell guy had offers from Wagner, Delaware, Towson, Fairfield, Fordham, Radford, Stetson, Rider. I would hope we're vying for players who are attracting interest from schools on the next rung of the ladder.

RE: MBB Recruiting - AssyrianDuke - 10-12-2021 07:54 AM

Seems like the one to keep an eye on is Buchanan. He's starting to get interest from P5 schools now and just picked up his second offer from Pitt on his unofficial. He's only taken one official (JMU) and until last weekend, we were his only offer. Hoping getting in early will help fight off the allure of larger schools.

The tough question to ask/speculate on. If we indeed cannot compete for the CAA tournament auto-bid. Do players (just say our basketball programs) opt to red-shirt this year or move into the transfer portal?

Jerrell Roberson signed

Anyone know if we get Sule back next year or is he a one-and-done grad transfer? Roberson looks like he could replace him if this is his last year, otherwise we should have a very fun front court if he gets 2 years with Amadi, Sule, and Roberson.

Also Xavier Joyner is looking like a better and better hire as the days go on with his DMV connections.

RE: MBB Recruiting - Centdukesfan - 11-12-2021 01:04 PM

Sule will have this year and next year in terms of eligibility due to the free COVID year.

Unfortunate that Falden doesn't get another year, judging by Wednesday night man he can shoot. Glad Sule and Molson do though, would've really been a shame for all three of those guys to just get one year with no conference tournament.

Gotta like how this reads:

Roberson averaged 10.6 points and 4.8 rebounds against some of the best competition in the country, while shooting 66% from the field and knocking down nine of his 12 three-pointers.

Awesome! It would be great to see him grow an inch or two.

Heck, I'll be happy if remains the same and doesn't shrink. Our 6'8" recruits usually lose 1-1.5 inches in real height by the time they enroll.

Sounds to me like he is an in the paint guy with a shooting % at 66

RE: MBB Recruiting - Bawlmer Duke - 01-07-2022 11:50 AM

2023 PG recruit, Chase Clemmons, out of Atlanta is going to narrow his choices to 6 on the 9th. Some places list him as a 3-star, others say 4 star.

Even making the top 6 of those schools listed on verbal commits would be progress for our program.

That could be a recruiting changing pickup. I wonder if the coaching staff has some sort of connection to him to even consider us?

Well, he's from Greenville, real close to Athens and not terribly far from Georgia Southern.

RE: MBB Recruiting - jmu98 - 01-07-2022 04:56 PM

It is interesting that many sites have him heavily favored to go to Nebraska which seems an odd choice. He visited 6 schools and we were not one of them, so I am guessing we will not be in his Top 6.
