Wondering why he would come to EMU over Northern Arizona?

I wonder why he left Fairleigh Dickinson? His 2017-8 stats were good.

I see 11 ppg and 5 rebounds for a SF/SG. Shoots for a high percentage and over 80% on FT. Oh, my, if he could shoot 80% for us...

We are locked in to the FL JUCOs where we've been recruiting. Matt Cline has experience down there years ago. BTW, that is near the area which got devastated by the hurricane. I have a cousin who was in Destin, FL recently. Bad. really bad.

Yes please. Seems redundant to Montero, but I guess you can never have too many shooters. I'm all for signing someone who has shown that he can play D1 ball too. Hopefully he commits.

Wouldn't it be crazy if Murphy did a 3-guard... Oh, my...

Or actually use more than 2 guys off the bench? OH MY!

Agree. McAdoo should do double duty as a SG/PG which means a lot of SG minutes are open.

Flashback: remember the term 'combo guard' a guard who could play both positions?

Strange as it seems, with the meltdown on this forum, but we return TWO starters.

Not great, but not a disaster too. Turnover happens. See UBuffalo.

Just ask Duke as they'll have 3 players drafted in the NBA lottery this summer. They ave. a combined almost 60 ppg.

Interesting. He has near NBA 3-point range.

I prefer to "buy local". No need for a HS PG from AZ when good HS players are here in the backyard.

I want to see players coming here with multiple D1 offers, or D1 experience. Watch the stat line, some of these JUCOs are loaded, like wise the prep schools. I really don't care where they come from. If Joe Moon IV has zero D1 offers and another point guard has four I go with the one with four D1 offers. Joe is taller than Ellison but remember Ellison was also a finalist for Mr. Basketball and All State in Football for two years as well at WR. I want to see as much of what I said in how Murphy uses his remaining scholies.

Amen. I don't care where they come from at all, as long as they can play basketball. Fact is, we have a better chance of finding talent out of state, where we aren't competing with 6 mid majors that are within a 2 hour driving distance of metro Detroit. If Murphy can get another solid local recruit (like Kevin McAdoo or Raven Lee), great. But they all have E's on their chest at the end of the day, and I want the most talented players possible, regardless of location.

I agree with your comments.

Agree about the stat lines. Some JUCOs are in fact loaded. Check the minutes. Lot of very good players only average say 20+ minutes per game, not 30 - 35.

Quick pivot I saw one NBA lottery mock draft showing an 18 year old International player who doesn't even average 10 ppg. He may not start on a team full of older players.

Player evaluation isn't as easy as it used to be.
