If anyone is following ODUSports on Instagram, they are currently showing different views from the seats today based off of requests from a questionnaire in their story yesterday

Call me crazy but to me one of the most impressive sights is the roof of the press box. Very stylish flood lights combined with a very attractive sound system.

The old turf had a problem. It had a terrible reflection of the lights. I posted an article years ago where a school (can't remember who) had the same problem with that exact same turf and had it replaced. Not sure what the cost was to the school, if any, but obviously we didn't pursue that. Hoping the glare issue does not exist with this turf. The lights are taller but the camera will be higher as well. We'll have to wait for the next rainy night game to find out.
Better watch it, now Tech is going to use that as the excuse as to why they lost..."The Sun Was in my eyes, there was such a glare coming off the field."

Yes it does! I went over during my lunch break and the field looks incredible especially with the lettering going down in the endzone. The white letters really pop with the blue endzone

I guess it's not a big deal, but is anyone else wondering why they extended the white side line stripe past the white endzone stripe. I would have expected that it would square up with the endzone stripe. It just looks a little odd to me.

They aren't done with their work. So I wouldn't assume anything yet.

I was down at that endzone today, and they have boxes measured out inside of the endzone to lay they letters inside them, and some of them where just thrown into the box without careful placement. It looks like they are just precut pieces of turf they are placing on top

I know people on this board don't like the chef hat logo but I love it on the field vs the bearlion, IMO it gives a newer, cleaner look. It also now mimics the Ted in design which is cool.
It does suck that there is no longer any trace of light blue anywhere in the stadium, the old turf had the bearlion outlined in it. Football continues to only brand itself with navy blue and silver as it's colors (I think they're the only sport we have that does this?), I wish more light blue was incorporated into the designs
