I love how much brighter the new turf looks than the old one. The only one looks very dull in this video, I can't wait to see how it looks in person and on the screen

This is the photo I've been waiting for. A straight down the middle, floor level, wide angle shot.

Even the NEZ doesn't look too bad from this angle. Need to trim that tree to the right though.

I think the endzone looks even worse now since there is greater contrast with the much nicer sides. It sticks out like an ugly sore thumb. As long as ODU doesn’t botch the design on the replacement the NEZ can’t come soon enough. This stadium won’t look whole until it’s done.

That shot would look great going the other direction though.

It already looks great, a huge improvement over a well loved Foreman Field, but once they close off the north end zone this place is going to look amazing!!! So excited!!!!

The old turf had a problem. It had a terrible reflection of the lights. I posted an article years ago where a school (can't remember who) had the same problem with that exact same turf and had it replaced. Not sure what the cost was to the school, if any, but obviously we didn't pursue that. Hoping the glare issue does not exist with this turf. The lights are taller but the camera will be higher as well. We'll have to wait for the next rainy night game to find out.

I could never figure out what is was that I liked about the field. Now I know, it was the glare. It gave it a color that I dont see on any other field. Now I'm gonna miss seeing that.

Better watch it, now Tech is going to use that as the excuse as to why they lost..."The Sun Was in my eyes, there was such a glare coming off the field." 03-nutkick

Kinda off-topic but I was looking at the "Food Guide" and is it just me or did the West side get screwed with the concessions. Appears that all the new stuff is on the east side. Wonder why they didn't just do a even split?

I can't believe someone hasn't complained that the south end is closest to the Mag Train. :)

Just think when they finish the NEZ you will be able to walk to the other side and get what you want. Generate more push for the NEZ

You do realize it is like a 3 minute walk to get from one side of the stadium to the other, right?

Never said I wasn’t lazy. But considering the fact that I’ve got a 15mo old and parents in their 60s who also may want to a philly steak; only available on the second level of the east side. Lol, I think Im justified in asking the question. Besides none of us know for sure how long it will take to get anywhere in the new stadium; especially during the half-time rush. But I think one of the posters was on point with the NEZ completing the circuit. Should help considerably with getting around.

I haven't looked into this, but maybe there's more room on the east side? Along with most tailgaters coming up from that direction, and people who park in the Ted garages, perhaps they put all the good stuff on the east side since there's more room over there. Just a wild guess, I could be wrong.

Looks to me like they've started installing the engraved bricks on west side.

I think it is indeed a space issue. If you note, the Philly Cheesesteak will be made/sold from a portable unit on the second level. The second level on the West side is where the Priority Automotive Founders Club is located so there is less room for portable units on that level. But maybe they will come up with a plan later for something at ground level. But they will likely need a tent or something to provide cover.
