San Fran, New York, Denver, Seattle, New Orleans, Austin...but I do like Memphis.

San Fran and New York are too expensive and taxes are killer. They're also nanny cities and magnets for illegals.

New York is the worst city I've been to. DC is the only big city I've been to that maybe I could live in if I had the money to avoid traffic. Smaller cities I like are Charlotte, Charleston (SC), Richmond, Salt Lake City and Savannah.

I like Charlotte. It's a larger city but it's very easy to escape the bustle. The worst city that I've ever been to is Boston. Miami isn't far behind (besides that ladies of course.)

One thing I can't stand is filth and New York is disgusting. The subway actually burns your eyes and turns them blood shot. At least DC is clean.

Chattanooga's cool.

No idea what their politics are.

On the Tennessee River, and a lot of river related stuff going on.

Chattanooga is just fairly small. That's either a big plus or not to you. They actually have a decent amount of stuff to do.

About the only place I've been to that I'd move to tomorrow if the opportunity presented itself is Savannah.

It's like New Orleans, only clean.

I'd move to Florence or Lafayette La.

I haven't been in Montgomery, after Mountain Brooke for several years, for very long and it's alright. It's a lot better than it's usually made out to be and downtown is actually a lot of fun and changing quickly but it just isn't my cup of tea.

The only major city in the nation I'd live in is Houston.

Memphis isn't bad at all. It's just...something's very incomplete about it, I can't really explain.

There are parts of the city itself that are really nice but so much of it is the South's version of Detroit.

A buddy of mine had a pretty good little band that used to play in Memphis all the time and I used to go with them which was pretty cool. They have a lot in the way of nightlife.

Collin County, TX (the suburbs north of Dallas) is as red as it gets. It's a great place to live.

But even with Memphis you have burbs like Germantown, Collierville, Bartlett, Southaven that are very conservative.

That's how pretty much all cities are, especially in the south. Charlotte is blue, but all the counties around it are red.

my precinct just voted nearly 3:1 for the Dem mayoral candidate.

The republican running was really moderate. Very much like McCrory when he was mayor. Was really hoping he'd win. I wish the city would do away with party affiliation for local elections.

Peacock favored expanding our light rail transit, opposed amendment one, and opposed spending on things like the Panthers/Bobcats/streetcar.

Hard to find a candidate that lines up with me more than that.

Nice town - downtown has been revitalized, the Aquarium is nice - lot of tax assessment/government dollars have made a huge difference.

Tax incentives lured the big Union VW plant to Chatty.

Beautiful area, pretty conservative (except for taking those nice handouts).
