Not to channel my inner Kit-Kat, but we had 5,742 in attendance for the exhibition.

Am not 100% positive, but I'd venture to guess that might be more than any other MAC school had in attendance for a regular season game last year. 04-rock

Wow, 5742 is more than I expected. Last year if I recall correctly (which I may not) we had just over 4k for the exhibition. Was expecting a little less than that...
I have a hunch that season ticket sales are up this year. Program is coming along. Get these recruits going. Get attendance up closer to 10k as much as possible.

Ohio's target I believe should be 10,000 a game average in basketball.

When do they play Bloatsburg?

Weak. Akron plays a strong schedule this year...(snip)
I know people like to knock Akron's past schedules, but KD has stepped up up the competition the last couple of years.

How you took that as a knock on the schedule, I don't know. Chill.

Apparently NIU beat Rockford College 90-57. Wasn't there and know nothing about Rockford College other than they apparently are D3 and they have a center that is like 6'10" and about 290 pounds or so.

Toledo stomps D XII Hillsdale by one on a three second left prayer. To be fair Hillsdale was bigger, and at least today, better coached. J D Weatherspoon looks to be a serious defensive stopper as soon as he figures out that when four offensive players are being guarded by his teammates it's likely that he should be in the same zip code as the fifth player. Never seen a collegiate player so lost.

D2 Hillsdale, well coached, bigger, stronger, and shot 60% from 3.
Might second guess our personnel will gel enough to actually play team ball. Good pieces we have, but the Legos aren't building towers just yet.

Hillsdale has played us tough in some exhibition games, as well.

They had two seven footers although I think only one played.

I'm chill. But if not a dig on the schedule, what does "Bloatsburg" have to do with anything? If it means something, I'm out of the loop.

EDIT: Just did a google search and see where you were getting at. I must've been too busy dodging bullets on the streets of Akron to watch "Doug". lol

RE: Men's Hoops Scores
BSU fell behind by 17 points in their (meaningless) exhibition against NAIA Marian College. Eventually won 62-59. Freshmen carried the day for the Cards, with Turner as the leading scorer from the point and House getting double digits from the bench. While I think it's possible that Majok got his double-double (he likely did), it was a very quiet effort. Berry had a quiet day as well. Kam didn't play due to injury. Two freshmen (Turner and Alstork) started in the backcourt, with seniors Majok, Bond, and Koch filling out the rest of the starting lineup.

She does much better when she plays with William...The two of them have had some pretty good seasons in spite of the lack of depth.

The Flashes open at home against THE Ohio Northern University.

It is the first of a record 18 home games scheduled this season.

yeah this is a "real" game for you, right? coz for Ohio Northern it's an exhibition. i'm thinking it's that way because the D-III season doesn't officially start until next week.

I don't fully understand how it can be an exhibition for one team but not the other, but that seems to be the case. Not a big deal whether it's one or the other. KSU has had no exhibitions, but multiple scrimmages with other D-I teams.

yeah I know you're certainly not in any danger of losing to ONU. I just thought it was strange that it's a real game for you and an exhibition for them. I don't recall ever seeing that before.
