9 Matt McIntosh QB 6-1 197 RS SO
12 Drew Hare QB 6-1 200 RS FR
Anthony Maddie via WMU(Sitting out this year due to transfer)

Most feel Maddie will end up being the guy.

RE: Who Replaces Jordan Lynch Next Year?
I have no idea if we have another stud waiting or not. Matt McIntosh is the current backup and threw 30+ yd TD on his first drive against EMU. If I remember correctly, he was Mr. Indiana his senior year of high school. We have gotten good players from Indiana in the past (Harnish and Spann being two of the recent great one's). The #3 QB is Drew Hare, he also did a good job running the offense on his only drive and threw for an 11 yd TD. Of course, not sure how much we can take out of them doing it against EMU.

Anthony Maddie transferred from WMU and will be eligible to play next season. He was quite the dual threat and had ridiculous stats in high school.

Whoever comes in gets an almost complete offense returning.

Anthony Maddie has a lot of talent. Too bad PJ Fleck wanted "his guys" but great pick up by NIU!
Good to see both McIntosh and Hare get playing time in NIU blowouts against EMU and UMass.

I don't think we'll know until the first game next year. McIntosh and Hare have a head start on Maddie. At what point do you go with experience over potential?

Does Lynch have enough speed to play WR or even DB in the NFL?

Maybe FB/TE would be the best route for him to take.

RE: Who Replaces Jordan Lynch Next Year?
So with Lynch, Tettleton, Wenning, and Owens graduating, who will be the top QBs in the MAC next year?

It seems like out of the non-senior starters in the MAC, Joe Licata and Matt Johnson are the only two who particularly stand out. Kyle Pohl has been up and down, but he's getting heavy use and is only a Sophomore. Then you have Cooper Rush & Colin Reardon who look decent for a freshman. I'm assuming Ohio, NIU, and Toledo should be able to field competent starters next year too.

Hare looked pretty darn good yesterday when he came in.

NIU has 3 really good candidates - NO favorite for next year. ALL are good, not All American good or NFL good, just college good.

I like the young Qbs in the MAC, Pohl and Reardon look good to me, they need better supporting crew. Toledo's next at a bare minimum - solid, but probably better than that.

NIU also has the #19 dual threat QB prospect per Rivals coming in next year. Of course he'll be a true freshman and has a distinct disadvantage there but I wouldn't count him out.

RE: Who Replaces Jordan Lynch Next Year?
We likely won't have an indication as to who will start until Spring Ball next year, if even then.

I'm assuming the guy that came in for Owens earlier this year is the starter for Toledo next year. Not sure about Ball State though.

Toledo has the former backup QB at Alabama sitting out this year with 2 years of eligibility remaining. I think Nick Saban has something to do with him landing at Toledo.

I would be surprised. Maddie couldn't crack the top 2 while at WMU.

03-no He was gonna be the backup this year. He won the backup spot coming out of Spring Ball.

Reading the Bronco board it was pretty even between Maddie and Terrell for backup. So maybe he did crack the top 2, but not by much.
