FWIW, the original idea came from ECU. Then New Era hats jumped on it and made them for a LOT of college teams (called Inner State Series). But this is a first (actually 2nd: ODU) where I've seen a school try to make a major logo out of the OBVIOUS rip off of the idea. The fact that it's an in-state rival AND they ripped off the "This is Our State" idea from our entrance makes them even more pathetic. Really, really sad.

That had nothing to do with how we came up with the logo....We actually have a legitimate reason for having the outline of North Carolina on the field....So people will know where the f we are. It is pretty clear where NC State is located.

I think that you forgot the University of Illinois. Illinois changes their logos a lot, but I seem to recall this one being used a lot on the football and basketball court for a long time.

Yeah, that's true. All 3 looked like they had just been bumped from an airline flight and were marching up to the ticket counter to give the agent an angry talking-to.
