Thoughts of yesterday.
Love the Tide ride to the game... I dont see how the Tide ride makes money. I bought tickets online for $3ea for the ride and witness countless fans just hop on without tickets.

Love the barcrawl the wife and I did. Just disliked the time of day it was.

I think ODU should go after NSU band director. They have a smaller band but twice is loud as ours.

Also HC Pete Adrian who's NSU Defense ranks top 20 in FCS with alot of unknown players is a pretty good defensive coach. If we could add him to our staff with a our higher recruited players we could have a good defense.

I didn't like some of the older NSU fans behind us who jabbed at us and said "you white folk need to find yourselves back to the white part of town" and much more once NSU tool the lead. We didn't even say a word to them.

Those fans could have purchased their ticket on line as well, or at the kiosk. If they boarded without tickets they were taking a huge gamble. I was not asked for my tiket on the ride to the stadium but on the ride back a uniformed Norfolk Police officer came out of the engineers compartment to check each passenger's tickets. Everyone had a valid ticket. This happens randomly, and if you are caught you will have to go to court and you face a $250 fine plus court costs.

We already have both a great band director. Nagy is turning the D around, he inherited a hot mess on the defensive side and it takes a bit of time and PATIENCE.

The Tide doesn't have to make money. It is subsidized by the taxpayer.

It's not because of the band director. All HBCUs are like this. It's because they practice a LOT more than our band, and our band practices 6 hours during the school week, then is busy all day nearly every Saturday during football season. ODU kids don't have that kind of time to devote to band practice.

Definitely don't. I have two jobs plus 15 credits. I can barely do marching band now, so if there was any added time to it, I don't know If I could do it. I love our band director. I've been in band for 5 years. I don't necessarily agree with everything we do, but he does a great job and I feel that we do a great job as well.

Also, a lot of HBCU bands focus solely on noise rather than playing quality. Anybody can blast as loud and they want on a brass instrument without musicianship.

Thanks for your dedication. Every time I see our band it makes me proud.

RE: Thoughts of yesterday.
One thing I seem to hear from almost all band members is a real high regard for Trevino. I am very impressed with the marching band and believe it should be should be a traditional marching band. However, for a pep band I really like the more contemporary sound of the VCU, GMU bands . Wish he'd loosen up and allow some guitars and more jazz/rock music

How do you know how many people had tickets on the tide?

RE: Thoughts of yesterday.
I meet a freind over in P-town, rode the ferry walk to Harbor Park rode the bus to Dick Price. Had a good time everyone we interaced was good. Even got a $20 ticket at the door. Was with kids so that keeps people tame. With the kids rode then Tide back to HP and ferry. Kids had a great time.

I think our band keeps getting better, thought we would do some Michael Jackson songs yesterday.

Can we stop using TH as a punter? Some of the play calling, where we were moved out of FG range, was just sad. Thought the ODU fans could of been louder, pretty quite over all. Most of the game felt we would win, just was waiting for Taylor Time. Boy he's bailed out our coaching staff out a few times this year.

It doesn't matter if you know some people who refer a certain term It's just not a term that needs to be used.

Apparently Heinicke is the first division one quarterback in the state of Virginia to surpass 10,000 career passing yards:

This is a pretty impressive record when you look back at some of the great quarterbacks that have played in the state. Considering he's a junior and the season still has four games to go, this may be a record that will stand for a very long time.

RE: Thoughts of yesterday.
The weather was great, a beautiful fall day and excellent for football. Thought the NSU fans were friendly. No bad mouth stuff our way. Their stadium is much nicer inside, then it looks from the interstate. It serves their purposes very nicely, I would think.
Parked at Harbor Park and used NSU's bus to go back and forth. Very easy and comfortable.
We won. I don't care one bit how we accomplish the feat, a win is a win is a win. Just win baby!
Go Monarchs!

What was up with the officials not having enough kojones to throw a delay of game penalty on NSU for being late to the second half. That looked premeditated on their part

He has a good chance of breaking the 15,000 yard mark before he is done. Simply amazing.

ODU recruit Shulter Bentley has over 11K yards in less than 3 years of HS football.
