6. If still tied, compare records against cross-divisional opponents in descending order of

7. If still tied, team with highest BCS ranking.
8. If still tied, the representative will be the team that has not participated in the championship
game most recently.
9. If at any point the tie is broken in a multiple team tie, the remaining teams will begin the
process again at #2.
When analyzing all 3 team's schedules, I can't figure out how ECU would lose any tie breaker. Bottom line is, if there's a 3 way tie in the east then ECU will play in the C-USA championship game unless it comes down to BCS standings & we lose badly to both State & Marshall.

I think we'd have them before it got to the BCS.

Oh yeah and as far as that "bad" UNC team these Marshall fans told us about. They certainly had no trouble with MTSU. If Marshall played their schedule they'd probably be win less.

I'd say amongst many other reasons, that since we can't win on the road, except once by 3 points barely, that ECU is clearly the better team. You can't do anything in football if you can only win half your games because they are at home, and maybe not even all of those.
I also believe that it makes no difference who is the better team when we play. Not saying you won't have advantages. It's just recently been a hard fought series coming down to the wire and I expect it to be again. However, that said, if we don't get special teams in game shape by then and Doc doesn't learn how to manage a clock in the next several weeks, it could be a really long day for the Herd in front of ten fans.

I agree. The better East teams are all losing when they go to play at the West teams. ECU lost in New Orleans. MTSU lost in Denton. Marshall should lose at Tulsa.
West champion will probably host the C-USA championship game, although ECU can still win out and hope the Rice-Tulane winner loses another game along the way.

Rice-Tulane is thr most interesting matchup left in conference right along with ECU -Marshall. What weekend is that game?

Intangibles will go to Marshall. ECU will be coming off of a game vs NC State the short week prior.

Very last game of the season, November 30 at Rice Stadium.
Rice still has a very dangerous visit to North Texas on Halloween night before we can think about the Green Wave.

Before yesterdays game, I still thought MTSU was going to make a bowl, but I didn't see them beating Marshall. Very good win for MT.
Right now in the "Who's Better" argument, I'd have to say... Tulane.

That has the potential to be a very big CUSA weekend. Hopefully the TV situation doesn't put both games on at the same time or leave one off the air completely.

The way I understand it.........If ECU beats Tulsa and NCSU.........
Marshall defeated by Tulsa........MTSU win out conference games......then ECU vs. Marshall game will not matter. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Well, a three-way tie in the East at 6-2 would almost certainly send ECU on the road to Houston, New Orleans, or Denton for the C-USA championship game.

I will be hoping for an ECU vs. Tulane rematch game for Cusa Championship. Also it will be a great going away gift to ECU and Tulane from Cusa Conference.

I would love to see a rematch game of ECU vs. Tullane for Cusa Championship. It would be a great game for both schools leaving Cusa.

ECU has a better defense than Marshall.
Marshall has a better offense than ECU.
Should be a heck of a game.

Marshall is currently relevant in one respect: whose season are they going to ruin? Probably their own, but maybe ECU's.
