Ball State Dinner Plans
For those you that went to the game do you see the program on the video board, where they were asking locals to invite Ball State football players (not sure if any athlete) to their homes for dinner? So the player can get a "home cooked meal"????05-stirthepot

If I can't buy a player a pop or a slice of pizza if I see a player at a local restaurant, how can they fix a 16 ouce steak dinner for them at their house???? I wonder what the NCAA has to say about that. Or is our compliance officer reading the rules to us incorrectly. I know I get a pamplet every year from the Toledo Athletic Department telling what I "CAN NOT" 05-nono do as an "athletic booster"...... 05-mafia

It is legal for a booster to: Invite a student-athlete or entire team to your home for an occasional meal. The meal may be catered, but limited to infrequent or special occasions. Transportation is permitted to these occasions as well.

I know this happens at UT with some of the sports other than football. I recently saw a couple football players shopping at Kroger's. The reason you hear so many "can not"s is because you can not afford to feed them, you can not assuage their hunger and you can not believe what all was in that grocery cart.
