What's up with SEC TV..... It's televising games on a station that sells paid programing in my area (btw... I live in a huge metropolitan area). In fact, the South Alabama @ Tennessee game is followed by: AAA Benefits and Saving, which is followed by Non-surgical hair re-growth—unbelievable. SECond to none football conference needs to get its SECond rate tv network together ASAP!!! I can’t believe the SEC is even allowing games to be televised on this crappy channel…..

That's the old model you are watching with a Jefferson Pilot type distribution. The SECN will be a dedicated channel like the BTN when it opens in 2014. The SEC isn't going to waste time fixing what will be replaced in a year.

Well, the SEC TV game is always the last one to be picked. Yes, it is a crappy production which will be fixed next year, but I'm somewhat impressed that it being carried in your area (outside of the Southeast, I presume?). Pretty good distribution for the worst game in the conference.

You can turn to CBS, ESPN, ESPN2, or ESPNU to watch any of the good SEC teams play. I don't even know why they came out with their own network in the first place.

One of the interesting things about SEC Network will be that, in order to have enough good inventory to sell the network to cable/satellite carriers, ESPN will have to take SEC games they now air on ESPN2 and ESPNU and put them on SEC Network instead -- where those games will then be competing with the non-SEC games that presumably fill those vacated timeslots on ESPN2 and ESPNU.

I don't like it... I prefer the normal channels I've been watching. I've seen SECN before and it's got horrible quality, might as well be watching football on a 29" box television in 1982...

...thus the need for everyone to move to 9 conference games and strengthen the OOC. They need more inventory.

I agree, BBB, that is what ESPN will push for. The only question is, how long can the football coaches hold back the move to 9 conference games.

From the looks of the cancellation of the Alabama / Michigan State games I'd say about 1 more year after this one.

How dare you imply that in the conference realignment forum JR. What is wrong with you? That is not suitable Moderator behavior!!

Shh! He1nous, not so loud, panties will be getting in a wad! Besides I think there are many that come to the Conference Realignment board just to deny it will ever happen again. Perhaps this should be the Conference Realignment Denial Board. In fact that may be what we've always needed, 2 boards, one for those of us who believe more realignment will happen and one for those who deny conference realignment will ever happen. It might indeed help both groups to discuss the concept without constantly bickering about it.

Unfortunately he was talking about stuff that was fairly serious about 10 months ago. But hey, if the PAC misses out on Big 12 targets they are going to have to think outside of the box to find more revenue.

Movement? where? You'll find me camping at the 44th page of "ECU and the SEC" until a month after the convention. 03-thumbsup
