I'm not connecting to the confederate flag comparison. Most people who display the Confederate flag are not doing so to promote their hatred towards a group or to promote violence(regardless of what definition the liberals have concocted regarding the flag)

These two symbols are not on equal footing. I'm sure the rebel flag has a separate meaning in places like rural Idaho on some compound, but around here it simply means southern pride.
