Attendance - Week 1
44,597 - East Carolina (vs. Old Dominion)
27,148 - Marshall (vs. Miami OH)
25,729 - Southern Miss (vs. Texas State)
21,975 - North Texas (vs. Idaho)
20,992 - Tulane (vs. Jackson State)
20,011 - Middle Tennessee State (vs. Western Carolina)

Bad attendance all the way around, granted no one was playing a name opponent. ECU's lowest attended game since the expansion in 2010.

mm roberts looked fuller than that. but it was an all-access broadcast . . . it didn't really show the stands that much.

RE: Attendance - Week 1
I was guessing 28,000. It was a good crowd...very into the game and the usual bolting at half time didn't appear.

We will probably be 0-4 when we come back home so it will probably get worse.

MT's crowd should be between 25-30k for next home game against Memphis, and especially high if we beat UNC.

RE: Attendance - Week 1
surprised at the ECU attendance for a home opener after a winning season, considering what they've averaged the past 3 seasons. I thought that game would easily be over 49k with the ODU bringing a lot of fans. Disappointed in UNT, MTSU and to a certain extent Marshall. USM is kind of what I expected. Tulane, no comment

Yea, and we have a Thursday night game against FAU this week. Will probably be even lower. Yikes. Stadium looked pretty full though

It was 103 degrees at kickoff.

If we beat Ohio next week, we should have 25K or more for the Ball State game. Remember, we haven't had a winning season since 2004. It will take some wins to build large attendance numbers.

Everyone in our section thought our crowd was around 30K or so. Our stadium seats over 38K and there is no way you could have placed 11K more people in there. Oh well.

If you guys would just build that damn endzone facility you'd have a really great looking stadium.

yeah spread out I would say. also the upper deck for the most part. I'm at the top of 15...portions at the top of my section and 16 weren't filled in as well.

DF always shows off well. I usually buy tix from ECU, so I can sit on the second deck at the 40 yard line.

I thought the same thing. I was guessing 32K. There is absolutely no way there were just 27K+ there. And I agree, there was absolutely no way we could have fit another 11k in the stadium. I have no idea how they come up with that number.

What? I am confused by your post, we have an endzone facility...I assuming you mean the new tower with a new press box and suites. If so I agree but we had more pressing needs that had to be addressed...I think additional upgrades to Dowdy-Ficklin will be our next major athletic facility project.
