Well considering we've rammed it down there throat, you would think play action would open things up. However, at this point in the game, you wonder about the effectiveness.

OK more positives than negatives. Definitely some very bright spots (RBs, OL). Still some issues. Really glad we have the week off before KU. No lack of intensity by the players or staff...let's see that the rest of the way. Good job to all.

Chef - Facebook won't present that to me. Is it in a private FB group for the MOB?

I think it might be the same thing they posted in their Twitter feed, right? I thought I saw the pic earlier, but now I cannot find it.

Any thoughts on why we're not going to Taylor more - even in 1 on 1 coverage?

QB accuracy concerns is my guess

As MrBig just noted, the announcers did make fun of Driphus's warm-up before the game and how erratic his throwing apparently was. Sounds like an issue in their eyes.

I guess Bailiff preferred going with the SEC zebras instead of CUSA's and for the most part can't blame him based on what we have seen in the past.

Funny. It's their dinner, we're just the meal. I'm sure we had no say.

Unless we wrote it away in the contract, it's a negotiation, and I thought I had heard at one time that the away team in these non-conference tilts usually makes the decision. It's one of those things to at least try to balance out the home-field advantage of the crowds

Drums were autographed as well. 40-member MOB, all in JFF-autographed shirts and some equipment as well. Nice!

Well, encouraging on some fronts. Our power run game will wreck shop in CUSA. Taylor is a weapon at WR. Driphus and McHargue had their moments, but still show the same issues. The interior of the OL was fantastic.

Defensively, its CUSA, so who cares I guess. But we have some serious issues in ability at DE. We're giving major snaps to a former walk-on at LB, and it certainly showed today. I hope there are not issues with White, we lose A LOT without him in the secondary (despite his getting burned jumping that route today).

Yup, still some bugs to work out, but I couldn't agree more. The O-Line play was fantastic and a great sign for the rest of the year.

Announcers and commentators now crapping on JFF's open mouth for his behavior, too funny how quickly the tide turns.

I can agree with that. Some problems, but a lot of hopeful signs. Given our "new" conference and schedule, we should do very well if we play as if we did today.

I think Rice's d-line will be fine. Don't think A&M had any o-line guys suspended, they are much better than any o-line Rice will face until maybe Rice's bowl game.

I would be surprised if that's the case in bodybag games, vs. equal or 2-1 series agreements.

It's an unequal contract as one school sells itself out for the paycheck, and that's bound to be reflected at every level of the agreement.

There's no way we'd agree to SEC officials over any other conference (Tiki's joke, aside).

B+ from me, and I cant remember the last time I was so proud of a Rice team following a loss
