Being a G5 school is not so bad
Hopefully, the G5 fans come to accept that they have a nice situation if they look at it the right way. It seems that the fans that are upset the most are the ones in the AAC. I don't understand why there is so much anger of this. If you think about it, the AAC schools have their biggest rivalries in the same conference. This is huge. On top of that, if they could focus more on getting their #1s to play against each other in bowls instead of scrambling to play against P5 schools in bowls, I think they will be better off for it in the long run. It's not to say that P5 and G5 should not play against each other, but if the G5 wants to build their brands and make their conferences popular, they need to build from the ground up. Plus the money from TV contracts is overblown. I think the G5 will be doing fine and will have plenty of money to run their athletic departments effectively.
I think the future is bright for the G5.

G5 is fine as long as they can carry the mantle of playing at the top division and the superior team gets a crack at top post-season.
You can run an effective athletic department without fat TV money. None of the G5 TV deals are life-changers.
All you need is a community that buys in and one or two league opponents that people grow to hate.

Now, tell us who the biggest rivals are for Cincinnati, Temple and Connecticut? I can't seem to find Louisville, Rutgers, Penn St, BC or Syracuse in the post-2013 AAC listings.

Pecan pie, but homemade, not the store bought crap.

This is my point. I try to make a positive thread about the G5 having a lot of positives going for it, and all people do is ridicule. Most of the ridicule is coming from the AAC conf fans, so maybe they are just bitter after all.

German chocolate is good. My whole family likes angelfood cake but I think it's disgusting.
