Yet another reason to hate ESPN...
They're bringing back the always offensive Keith Olberman. After losing all the good on-air talent they have recently, this seems to reek of desperation.

In his contract he's not allowed to talk politics.

The former SprtsCenter anchor they should bring back is Craig Kilborn, not Keith Olbermann. "Craigers" was the best SportsCenter host of all-time, IMHO. Olbermann is beyond annoying and I cannot stand him.

If that's the case, he might actually be worth listening to. Olberman was sharp and witty as a sports broadcaster; obnoxious and abrasive as a political blowhard (even when I agreed with him). If he sticks to sports, he could be OK. It must have taken a lot of pride swallowing to go back to ESPN though. Their previous relationship did not end well.

Olberman w/o Dan Patrick is deal breaker.

Thank goodness, he's a blithering idiot as a "news/opinion" guy, but funny as hell as a sports guy.

Good luck Keith!

Bring back Bob Ley and George Grande.

Is Charlie Steiner dead?

Keep your sentence and omit the word "politics" and that is a contract I could agree with: "In his contract he's not allowed to talk."

Kilborn was great. It's a shame his late night career never took off like Kimmel or Fallon.

This. He's an overly emotional diva in some ways off camera and when it comes to politics on camera, but as a sports broadcaster he was/is great.

Really? Because all the news and notes I've seen is that his show is supposed to be about "Daily Sports and the influences of the day"?

I can't see him not throwing in political jabs when he can.

He does play by play for Dodger games.

I didn't mind Olberman the sportscaster but could not stand Olberman the political hack. Will be interesting to see if he can actually keep his politics out of the show.
