This is Hudsbeth 3rd year and is a SEC type coach. Petrino is a good coach but this will be his 1st year. Cajuns record this year 11-1, 10-2 is a disappointment and 12-0 will be a surprise! I'll take 10-2 or 9-3 any day of the week

That might be a decent response from Troy, UNT, or MTSU but you're not quite getting it over the plate yet.

You are all delusional. The competition is stronger than ever in the Belt and almost every team is capable of beating any other. I think state has the best shot at cracking the top 25 just because it takes several successful seasons in a row to get the voters attention but a couple of big OOC wins and a conference title could do it for someone else. ULL has enough recent success to probably crack it with another 9 win season.

After our first three years of our FBS existance, i am fairly pleased. I remember watching crappy FCS ball in a one sided stadium with a track. Now we play in a state of the art facility with a coach who is in his prime and has won 2 BCS bowls. Tell me what we are doing wrong. This is finally WKU's breakout year.

WKU and ULM both jumped into the eyes of voters with two signature wins. Ours for the fashion not the opponent. WKU ( if we start out 4-0) will be sitting pretty just outside the top 30. Continue to win? and we ascend. Win some more? Oranges.

What win for WKU are you talking about? I think ULM's signature win, while still significant, lost some luster as the season progressed and Arkansas finished 4-8. I do think either one could possible make it with some big OOC wins.

I had watched a few SBC games on TV and came to the conclusion that the reason the top 25 rating was hard to come by is due to the parity in the conference. The games were hard hitting which caused injuries that depleted the depth of the better teams later in the season.

First loss at South Alabama is more likely than a top 25 finish. And that isn't likely either.

Here's why.

You don't play a schedule that would get you into a BCS game.
You play at ULM.
You play ULL at home.

Likely finish for you guys...Maybe 7-5 on the top end.
