I find it interesting that it's ok to discuss Roddy White's football accomplishments, but then you don't want to discuss stuff that actually matters in life, like this. You can delete whatever you want. I don't care. The issue still remains. And, yet, this board will blow up the next time Roddy scores a touchdown.

He's a role model. Kids look up to him. He needs to apologize in general, not to me.

And any one who looks to a professional athlete as a role model is an idiot and gets what they deserve.

I'm not defending him. Just don't think him exercising his freedom of speech deserves an insincere apology.

He's not a role model. He's a guy who plays football for a living. I'm my kids role model. Kids who have parents that are active in their kids lives may hear what White said, but will listen to their parents. Besides, you can fill this board with dumb things he's posted.

If you're upset, don't buy his jersey, boycott Falcons games, sign a petition, respond to him on twitter.

Someone has tweeted they are so outraged at Roddy, they have removed him from their fantasy team.

That'll show him.

Maybe he was speaking figuratively and not literally. Emotions on both sides of this case are high. I saw several post by members of this board that offend me, but I don't need their apology. All I need is Justice.

Roddy can say whatever the heck he wants to on twitter. If you don't like it, then don't follow him. I was hoping no one would bring up anything related to the Zimmerman case on these boards...

It's funny how people are more upset over an inconsequential tweet than they are over the death of a child. Even if it was "just a black" child, he was a child nonetheless. It's deplorable and a travesty of justice.

The counter argument that black people kill each other all the time is an insufficient and ignorant reply. Murder is murder...people should be judged accordingly.

Oan, I blame the prosecution more than the jurors. You are innocent until proven otherwise. The prosecution didnt do a good job. The jurors acted accordingly.

Not wading into this either way, I do think it's silly for Roddy to send something out into the interworld, and then be surprised when it gets a reaction.
