Well if I have been reading enough here over the past year or so then I would know that the first post has to be the exact ending of CR. here it is:
In 2015 Texas, Mizzu, Kansas and Oklahoma will head north to the B10 to join Nebraska in a pod. It will be a future announcement like in the year 2017-18 taking place.
The PAC will have to react. Thy need to grow or risk never growing and missing out on money long term. They will create a east and west.
Original 10 as the west. The east will be Utah, Colorado, Kansas st, Oklahoma st, Texas tech, Iowa st, BYU, Boise st, UNLV and either a California school or UNR. Boise will have to build more both program wise and academics wise. They will. They will be the swallow and smile pill for the PAC like Louisville was to the ACC academics wise. Money trumps...UNLV during this time will get that stadium built in Vegas. They will quickly become a easy add once all is in place. That city is in need of a real brand to rot for. The rise back to life of UNLV will do it. BYU is in the east division. Heck maybe name them mountain and pacific? Now I'm getting to cute. Anyway, the west 10 don't have to touch them much so its tolerable relationship wise. Money trumps...
ESPN now will be faced with dire circumstances. The SEC is great on the field but they need to match at 20. They need the money and territory. At this point Texas is split 3 ways. The PAC has a seat at the table but they are not top heavy. The B10 at this point can play ball with the SEC now more than ever. The SEC and really ESPN has one more trick up its sleeve.
Over time the ACC ate up the BE. It was greedy hands and ESPN doing the work. But in the end it actually right now ousts ESPN more money contracts wise then what it could have been. There were many decisions that led to this over time. But ESPN has had a just in case plan. A gold one.
ESPN has plans to rip up the acc. A public and private affair. Louisville is a kink in this. Connecticut makes way more sense with what your about to read but here we RE today. The SECnetwork is being built. It will have a high carriage fee and be carried automatically across the territory. The ACCright now is all rumors about a network. We keep hearing about a piggy back on the SECn possibly in Charlotte.
ESPN will blown up the ACC. They will also bring in WVU.
SEC West- Texas am, LSU, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Miss st, Alabama, Auburn, Kentucky, Vanderbilt and Tennessee.
SEC East- Florida, Florida st, Georgia, Georgia tech, Clemson, S Carolina, N Carolina, NCST, WVU, Virginia tech.
The B10 will add UVA and Connecticut. Those 2 with PSU, Rutgers and MD will be a Atlantic pod in that conference. You can easily figure out the other 2. Or you can make a 10 team east and west. Great balance either way.
We now have a 3x20. The NCAA will make a rule for the breakaway top group(NCAA makes them a new d1 to keep them from leaving the organization, stipend and all that jazz) that 20 team leagues can have a playoff bid or each division. The playoff is now 8 teams.
The ACC is Miami, Wake, Duke, BC, Syracuse, Pitt, Louisville. They will add Baylor, TCU and Cincy for 10. They will apply to the NCAA for a new ruling and get a playoff bid with 10 teams. That's bid #7 of 8 in this playoff. ND this whole time is still in its other sports and semi football relationship with the ACC. They have no reason to change that. The last playoff spot is selected by the highest BCS ranking not in it.
8 playoff teams will have a scripted December schedule wise. First 2 rounds are at home team stadiums -best ranking in the seeding. Championship can have 4 locations rotate or some type of location merger based on schools trading locations. Not important for this.
D1a- 71 teams above. They pay a stipend and have different rules and all that stuff.
The BE joins. The couple schools who play fcs football drop it. The BE now plays all sports but football and they expand.
BE Atlantic- Georgetown, Villanova, Providence, St Johns, SHU, Fairfield, Siena, Holy Cross, Duquesne and St Bonie.
BE West- Marquette, DePaul, Xavier, Dayton, Butler, St Louis, Creighton, Gonzaga, St Mary and San Francisco.
The tv contact they have will almost double. They will fit money wise and be very competitive.
For the basketball tney each league will get a bid per 10 teams. So the ACC will get 1 auto bid. 20 team leagues will get a bid per division they have.
That makes 91 teams for a 64 team tney. Over time these 91 will be way ahead of the rest. 16-1 games will have upsets.
You can figure out all other sports post season wise. Thy like bball will be way above the rest of the NCAA over time. This slowly kills special gigs like rice baseball for example. Is what it is.
D1b- will be 8 ten team conferences each will battle to dominate in hope of a d1a invite for that last auto bid to the playoff. This group will have a 4 team playoff and no bowls.
MWC- SDSU, Fresno, SJ, Hawaii, USU, Cst, AF, NM, WY and Witcha St.
SouthWest- Utep, Utsa, Rice, Uh, SMU, Texas St, NT, Tulsa, Ull, Ulm.
Big South- Latech, Tulane, Smiss, Uab, USF, UCF, Fiu, Fau, Bama St, Troy.
Big Country- Marsh, Ohio, North Ill, WK, App, Memphis, NY(buffalo), Miami(oh), MT, Mizzu St.
Big Atlantic- Ecu, UDel, Army, Navy, Massachusetts, Odu, Jmu, Charlotte, Ga St, GA South.
D1c- will be all other previous d1 and d2 schools under a restricted ship rules. Fcs, ivy and all those types. D1b and c will play all other sports together post season wise. Football will just be separate. D1c will have a 16 team playoff.
D2 will be d3 today.
Now onto the networks.
Hockey, baseball, soccer, softball and basketball will dominate bringing bread home. All the live tv will rake it in. Football will always be king but the other sports will boost profits big time. The B10 is best set up for this. Followed by the SEC.
-The B10 will add Boston U just like they added JHU but or puck. The ACC will do something with HE for BC and ND to keep there programs alive. The B10 will ravage that league in time puck wise. It will become the goto league and the tv inventory will be the best.
The end for now. Hope I met the requirements of a first post. So, lets now talk about my knowledge about tv stuff. Shoot!
