Are there any positions where we logically will not be better?

Are there any positions where we logically will not be better?
Maybe center, though I doubt it. Everywhere else we should be better.

I assume you are saying "better" because of experience. Be surprised to see a newcomer break the starting line-up.

Mainly because of experience, since we have so many returning. Also because of so many first-year "bounces." But we do have a few newcomers.

I have to believe Smith has a very good chance of starting at point guard. I can't see any other newcomer breaking into the starting lineup. At least not in the early going.

It won't happen at the 2. The new freshman probably is a 4 from the sound of it, so he would have to beat out Will.

Hill is the unknown quantity. Smith is a proven winner at point guard at both the high school and juco level. He could be another D'Andre if we're lucky. Hill, on the other hand, seems to be the banger inside that the coaches have been looking for. He had a solid high school career, but we don't know how that will translate to the D1 level, especially as a Freshman. If he can take his game to this level quickly, look for him to get more playing time than we might originally expect during the course of the season.
