Softball and Baseball Belt Tourny
The Cajuns will win both! You can count on that. Well maybe not baseball, but softball is a lock. We played most of the year without Narrisa Meyers who is the best player in the country. We have won 20 straight since her return and we will keep winning.

Baseball is a much tougher call, but I will stand by the fact that we play so well at home and we are the best hitting team in the league and have solid pitching. It will be tough, but Tigue Moore will be very hostile and the Cajuns will feed off of that! We may win the regular season title as well.

Considering Louisiana Lafayette is 2-4 against USA and WKU I'd say yes we will see. Regardless it's a 3 team race. The winner will most likely be one of Louisiana Lafayette, WKU, or USA. What's weird is there is no clear favorite and I don't know that is something we can say about the softball tournament very often.

Again, we went through the meat of our schedule without easily the best player in the Sun Belt, Narrisa Meyers.

So by your own admission this impressive win streak of yours hasn't been against the best of teams?

We won the last 22 games in a row, starting with the first game Meyers was back from a broken ankle. Had we played USA or WKU with her we win. That is what I am saying.

1 girl cannot effect a softball game to the extent you seem to think. this is not basketball or tennis or badminton.

You say that because you do not have a player like Narrisa Meyers.

You do know it's Nerissa and not Narissa, right? And you realize that you misspelled it three times, right? If you're going to proclaim how great she is and that her presence has such a big effect on the team then at least get her name correct.

Regardless of the spelling you will see the Cajuns bring their 22 game winning streak into the tourny and run right through it.

Nerissa will go down as one of the greatest Cajun players ever. That's saying a lot. She has a huge impact on the team in the dugout, at the plate, and on the field. It's a cliche term, but many have said that she is one of the most 'clutch' hitters to play at UL, and probably the best shortstop in the country. I have no doubt that the USA and WKU series would probably have been different if she was playing.

Just let them think that what they accomplished by beating a Cajuns team that was missing the best player in the league, having a disgruntled coach with zero assistant coaches until mid season.

But it is ok, we are back to playing true Cajun softball and will run right through the Sun Belt Tourny.

USA beat you by 5 and 4 and lost by 1. WKU beat you by 10 and 1 and lost by 10. Nerissa Meyers averages 1.09 RBIs per game. The math indicates that Nerissa might have only been a factor in one game against WKU and 0 against USA. So instead of going 2-4 against WKU and USA it could have been 3-3. Nerissa alone isn't enough to overcome 4, 5, and 10 run deficits. That would mean she would have to have 5, 6, and 11 RBIs respectively to make up the difference.
