Agree. And frankly, we've got a guy coming in the Fall who is a special athlete. Akeem's good but he doesn't have moves like Turner.

Below is from 2011 and I'd love to see 2012 if anybody can find it.

Burn the shirt and let him play with JL6. Defenses will try and focus on Lynch even more this year and you need somebody who will make them pay.

Call me 01-wingedeagle, but I think Carey's the kind of guy who just might put him out there on 8/31 in Iowa City.

I'd have to say we arn't a 1 back offense anymore. I would expect bowers or whoever ends up being #2 to play some.

I wasn't paying attention to RB blocking which goes into a lot of the playing time of RBs.

We weren't a one back offense last year until all of our backs died/got kicked off the team. I don't think Bowers ends up as the #2. Harris will be ahead of him, I think Ducee and/or Huff will play too.

If it is a fracture which it sounds like from the description on the board and he cant come back until November or December, does he have a redshirt option?

He had a flash of speed that I have not seen in a while.

I would not be surprised if he transfers out this summer...unless he really loves the team and maybe getting some garbage time his RS JR season then that is what I would do with 3-4 RBs ahead in the charts. (AD, KHJ, Bowers and maybe Turner/Huff/Morrow)

You can more than likely add Smaha to that mix, he will be a #1 or #2 eventually.

If you read his twitter account, you'd know there's 0% chance of that happening. He loves it here.

I don't even know if I follow him. That is surprising that a 3* is willing to sacrifice for the team rather than him taking off to a FCS school to play his last 2 years of eligibility.

He calls his decision to switch verbals from us to Akron the 2nd biggest mistake of his life. He's never mentioned the 1st.

You're mixing up guys. HJ is talking about Stingly, you're talking about Bowers.

No. Unless he gets a medical RS. I expect big things from him this year. Hope he gets healthy and can stay healthy for his sake. He did a lot by bulking up and moving to DT earlier in his career. It has paid off for him though, he's had a solid career.

Interesting...both 3* guys who will likely be our #3 or below RBs this season as RS JRs.

RE: Huskie Bowl Final
Daniels and Harris being out for spring ball may benefit the team in the long run because Bowers and Stingily were able to get so many reps when they wouldn't have otherwise. They impressed me and I wouldn't be surprised to see them get some touches this fall, just my two cents. They both look like they would be a nightmare to tackle and they are different bodies than Daniels and Harris. Daniels, Harris, Bowers and Stingily are going to make it tough for any freshmen to get touches. I could see Turner but they would probably use him like they did Daniels when he was a freshman, i.e. from the slot.

And Austin Smaha is a linebacker who got zero offensive reps this spring so I don't know where this Smaha will be our featured back stuff is coming from.

Makes sense with the importance of learning blocking assignments. I just want Turner on the field and the slot makes sense. I want JL to have as many weapons on the field as possible.

Smaha? That would be from MD02.

Was that Perez Ford wearing #3 at DE on Saturday. He was listed on the program as #44. If that was him, he was putting some good pressure on the QB's from his DE position. He looks very quick.
