And move to the BE board. I'm not sure if it will be done automatically or not. I suppose it will.

Either way, all's well that ends well.

Going to be fun and I think we'll get an uptick in recruiting and fundraising as well as preception and interest.

Yep! Now we can move on and focus on attendance and facility upgrades as well as our perception.

I think this move, combined with a new AD & very good coaches in football & basketball will equal a renewed enthusiasm for TU sports.

Honestly, we lost Todd Graham, then had to fire Wojcik, a drunk President & a gambling AD, along with losing our closest rivals, SMU, Houston & Memphis in a period of 2 years. Tulsa has been lacking a real buzz of excitement for a while. Even with success in football & somewhat in basketball, TU seemed to be more in a downhill slide due to circumstances listed above.

I hope the official press conference (next week or the week after ?), creates a new sense of enthusiasm for this new era of TU athletics.

There is a window of opportunity for us to increase our support and our perception. No matter how we view this, its a better conference than CUSA is or was. Darwin has taken over and the strong survived and we are one of the survivors. If you view conferences in a pecking order, we are no worse than 7 and possibly #6. That is worth the wait and the angst. Now we must grow this conference to challenge the top 5. If that can be attained (just challenging them), then our future is assured. Things haven't been this hopeful since we went into the old 16 team WAC imo.

RE: Looks Like We'd Better Disband . . . .
From just watching the CUSA board and an occasional CUSA story on the net, I think our move away from CUSA was a great move. Why? Well, it seems that Banowski and others in power are considering expansion to "at least" 16 teams. The newest mentioned is James Madison. Well, other than being a founding father, I don't see that adding much to the overall league standing. But it seems that every Johnny come lately will be a candidate IMO.

I wonder what USM, Marshall and UTEP are thinking? Even Rice and La Tech? Would we want to be in a league like this with the teams they are talking about? This isn't CUSA anymore. It may not even be equal to the Sunbelt - anymore. Very sad to see this happen.

But on another note, things are looking up for us!
