RE: OT: The Walking Dead
In the previews for next week one of the clips showed Tyreese and his wife looking really skeptical at the Governor during his speech about attacking the prison. I think they may be the ones to kill him.

I'd say the other most likely killers are Daryl, Michonne, or Milton.

RE: OT: The Walking Dead
Look I'm getting sick of TWD fans bitching about how there is no "action" in the episodes.

We saw Michonne beast at least 4 walkers while her hands tied, Merle rednecking it up by hotwiring a car with one hand, Merle luring walkers to the meeting spot, Merle sniping woodbury people, Gov'neh biting off Merle's fingers before executing him, then Deryl stabbing Merle's face like 10 times.

Maybe they should go all Resident Evil and start throwing in crazy stuff like lickers, ravens, zombie dogs, and the nemesis.

I have always wondered why there is a lack of dogs on the show. You would think thy would be running wild. Also train a few up to take out wakers or be you alert when they are near.

RE: OT: The Walking Dead
It has been made clear over the past 3 seasons that the zombies can be handled with relative ease. Even the Governor was able to deal with/get away from the 15+ zombies that Andrea dumped on him in that warehouse.

Unless there is some "super zombie" that the writers are working on (Which is highly unlikely) , you are going to get a lot of Human vs. Human conflict for the next few seasons...

If you want more zombie killing... I'm sure the Syfy channel will come out with a show like that soon enough...

RE: OT: The Walking Dead
The reason these shows and books are compelling and successful is not because of the zombie killings (although that helps), it's because of the human interaction. That is why any story is compelling or successful. If it was just zombie killings every episode, people would have stopped watching long ago. I don't like the dragging episodes, but they are necessary to build the characters, and I like the direction it is heading. Although, I am getting tired of the Governor story line (even though he is a great character), and am ready to move on to the next section. Characters have been developed, let's see some serious action in the next episode! Although, I think the Governor story line will continue into next season. Seems like there's way too much going on to wrap it all up in one hour.

Most dogs have probably starved out at this point. The domestication process made them dependent on humans for survival thousands of years ago, and the few that would have made it would be scavengers with nothing much left to scavenge at this point between all the zombies eating animal carcases and lack of trash. I agree dogs could have value but they are just another mouth to feed. Most of the human groups seem to have people on watch with guns anyway so that does away with most of the dogs usefulness and just equals using food resources for little added value.

I wonder if the demographics between those complaining about lack of action vs the character drama breaks down as those who grew up predominantly with video games vs those who grew up predominantly with TV

The great (transendent) part about the Walking Dead is how they were always on the run and encountering new and ever more challenging situations that they somehow found a way to overcome to keep going.

Watching our group just sit in the prison, only to then switch to the Woodbury tards (none of which are engaging enough to even remember) just comes off as lazy writing to me.

Can't wait until the governor kills whoever he is going to kill of our group, so we can kill the governor, and finally move on.

You're not going to like next season then. I read an interview with the director, and he said it's going be even less about survival and more on the interpersonal stories between the survivors.

The Walking Dead does season finales really well, whether it's blowing up the CDC or a herd overtaking the Hershel's farm. I expect the same next week, with a high body count of both living and walker. I bet the prison is overrun and Woodbury might be too.

RE: OT: The Walking Dead
If they had 3 seasons of them just going around killing walkers every episode, it would get old, they need these other story lines to keep you coming back.

As for the finale, after Rick mentioned to the group about "we decide as a group" whether they stay or go, I was thinking they were going to split and not fight.

Then by the looks of both previews (the one after the show and the one during Talking Dead) they make it look like the prison is abandoned...
But the director might of slipped, because he said the final show has a lot of intense battle. So I am thinking they are still there, just bringing the fight inside, where they could have an advantage.

Really good article on last night's show. Definite SPOILERS if you haven't seen it. And a bit of NSFW language.Link To Article

My other thought is the prison group left to attack woodburry, knowing they are coming for them at the prison, they could easily take the town, setup an ambush for the Gov's return.

I doubt they completely abandoned the prison to attack Woodbury. You don't take the baby on a raid. You have to find a babysitter.

The way I saw the clip during TD was that Ricks group was lying in ambush. I also say aclip of a guard tower exploding.

This is the most likely scenario. Instead of being stuck in the prison and have the Governor come at them, they're going to counter-attack while Woodbury isn't at full strength. Or as Blazer mentioned, be on the outside of the prison and ambush Woodbury's army when they've moved inside the prison gates.

For the people b!tching about the human vs human element of the show, GTFO it. This show is based on a comic that already has a story line. They are deviating from it somewhat but the main premise of the series is to show how mankind lives on in the wake of this apocalyptic situation.

Go watch Dawn of the Dead if you want zombie killing. Movies are short and don't need as many detailed story lines and character arcs as tv series do to keep going.

You tell em'!

If I were the leader of the Prison Group, I would "lie in wait" just as the poster suggested; I would also use the Prison/Catacomb walkers in my defense.

The Governor's story line is going to carry on into next season if I were to guess... after all, he has to torture Andrea as hard as he can for the sake of revenge.

Milton should become a main character soon enough.

RE: OT: The Walking Dead
I wasn't talking about 5,000 episodes of killing zombies. I was talking about moving to the next adventure because I don't need an entire ******* season watching two groups of the living fighting against each other over nothing.

I want someone to find a ******* radio and try to see if there is a semblance of a working government somewhere in the ******* country. Or anything besides feuding with this idiot governor.

If the governor and his sheep want to spend their lives in that stupid town, killing anyone that gets near, fine, leave them the **** there and move on to the next episode.

I know there is a story line, but television viewers are a lot more impatient watching it unfold on TV.

That right there's funny, I don't care who you are.

Government is most likely what caused the problem in the first place and you want to go find more of it.... I predict that you would last about two weeks in a zombie-infested world. 05-stirthepot

J/K.. you might last three weeks.
