I predict the first time Georgia Southern loses a football game to Georgia State(sometime in the next five years more than likely) your head will explode.

It's ok. We all know how you really feel. The game won't be a big deal until you actually beat us. Then it will mean EVERYTHING.

Tell that to the AJC GaSt beat writer who is hyping up Ga Southern in the GaSt section.

I feel bad for the Georgia Southern fans. A loss to State will happen much sooner than any of you realize and there will be Southern fans immediately calling for the coach to be fired.

This all sounds like a perfect rivalry. When fans call for a coaches head after a loss to a rival, you know your school has a rabid fanbase. Win win for everyone.

You guys *heart* GSU so much. The trolling, the love letters...did I mention the trolling? Its enough to make a program blush. Have to admire your tenacity in your constant pursuit of all things GSU. I mean here we couldn't care less whether you are swallowed whole by a sinkhole and yet you guys always care enough to follow our program as much as your own. Such dedication. Here's hoping you guys find a hobby, help or some meaningful relationship before we have to start taking restraining order.

The need to focus on Samford and UTC first. I hope the Trent miles era starts well. Samford is a pesky team.

In the modern era:
Georgia Southern is 21-1 against Western Carolina.
Georgia Southern is 22-4 against UT-Chattanooga.
Georgia Southern is 17-5 against The Citadel.

Unless Georgia State pulls off a MAJOR turnaround, these are their athletic peers. Do upsets happen? Of course! It's college football.

But they are very rare.

I hope GaSt gets better but right now it's really hard to believe. I think the first meeting will be a blood bath. But who knows, if their new coach comes in strong then the past doesn't mean a thing.

I think it will happen within 5 years of joining the SBC. I'm not delusional. We are in a talent rich state. With decent coaching (now that curry is gone) they should improve pretty quickly. No denying that.

What is being denied is that this would be a big game for State fans.

$10 they rush the field the first time they beat us.

I say the winner of the game gets to go by "The Real GSU"

That would be a heck of a trophy.03-lmfao

If you truly believe that a FBS program located in Atlanta has anything in common with those forever FCS programs, you aren't as intelligent as I've given you credit for.

Those aren't their athletic peers, not in football, the closest thing Georgia State has to an athletic peer in football currently is South Alabama.
