Corrigan's next step
With our 2012-2013 Men's Basketball season over at last, I can't help but speculate about Corrigan's next destination. He put in a lot of time with ODU and he finally got the opportunity to be head coach, if only in an interim capacity. I think he'll use this experience as a springboard to a head coaching position elsewhere. It was a rough season for a lot of teams and they will be out in force shopping for coaches. Given Corrigan's history in the Carolinas and Virginia, I think that he'll end up coaching somewhere in the Big South.

RE: Corrigan's next step
There are lots of ex odu assistants out there who could give him a good recommendation to join on somewhere else. Travis decure and California seems like a logical place for Corrigan to catch on. Or maybe he can join Milan browns staff?

He has options, but none of those options should be becoming the full time head coach of odu. Wish him nothing but luck though, unlike Blaine, he was a great servant of odu and really didnt deserve his current fate. Blaine's disease really affected a whole heck of a lot more people than himself....really really sad.

But yeah, I digress, Corrigan was a great assistant and it is my sincere wish that he get a chance either as an assistant at a bcs school or as a head coach at a smaller school to test himself.

RE: Corrigan's next step
We shot a field goal percentage of 50 percent or better in 4 out of our last 5 games.

During coach Taylor's tenure, that (FG% greater than or equal to 50% in 4 out of 5 games) happened a total of 0 times.

Probably won't happen but with Coach C's Duke connection we should trade him for Wojo!

I simply hope that if Coach C is not retained as a HC or Assistant, he is retained at the University is some Athletic capacity until he does find a HC or assistants job. I think he deserves that level of treatment for his many years of quality service to our University.

We also scored 12 ppg more in the final 8 games(73.5) than we did in the previous 22 games(61.7) under BT.

I'm not so sure this is a strong argument in Corrigan's case. If you compare opponents:

Under Blaine we scored 62 @ W&M, 72 vs. Delaware and 60 @ UNCW.
Under Jim we scored 62 vs W&M, 73 @ Delaware and 84 vs UNCW.

Wilmington was atrocious on the road this year. Other than that game, there doesn't appear to be any major improvement in scoring under Corrigan.

RE: Corrigan's next step
ODU will complete the final step in cleaning up the Jeff Capel mess with the release of Jim Corrigan. How one can participate in two failed administrations and still have fan support just amazes me.

Men lie, women lie, numbers don't. We scored more and shot better under Corrigan. I was just stating facts.

Corrigan's next step or steps may be on the Ted Basketball court.

God, I'm glad this basketball season is over.....and not because we had a losing record.

RE: Corrigan's next step
Stop with the personal indignation and bickering. Posts have been deleted. This is about Corrigan and not some running commentary through many threads of BT's issues. It is relevant in the BT sitings thread, but not here.
