Seems like that's becoming a yearly thing. Interesting.

Why would they be out there next Friday? Nothing to do but (deservedly) bash our basketball team for hours

I'd be willing to bet RC will make an appearance. Didn't DD appear at their 3 previous ones?

So they're going to do a remote in Dekalb and NIU won't come up at all? It'd be nice if this was the Friday before the spring game or something. Seems like a waste of energy to do a remote out there right now.

RE: Boers & Bernstein at Fatty's 3/8
This has been great for Fatty's and NIU. Every year they've done this it has been a success. NIU will come up in conversation for sure, which is great seeing that there has been little NIU talk since the Orange bowl. Any other mid-major program would kill for the most listened sports radio station in the area to do a remote literally 300 feet from their campus. Coaches and players will probably be interviewed on a prime slot for sports radio. What do you people want B&B and Fatty's to do? I will be listening, along with many other NIU alums and non-alums alike. Wish I could make it down there.

Why does it matter if they do it before the Spring Game? I am sure that date will come up in conversation. It isn't like there are massive crowds and parties going on for an NIU spring game anyway.

Do it now so more people will be aware of the spring game.

DAMNIT, I have a bachelor party in MI....argh, I have been wanting to attend one of the "Who needs 2" visits to Fatty's....It's most definitely for Fatty's moreso than NIU, but i'm sure they'll highlight something and maybe have the AD come on

RE: Boers & Bernstein at Fatty's 3/8
To clarify a couple things....NIU has nothing to do with Boers and Bernstein coming to Fatty's. NIU has been very appreciative to Fatty's of the exposure that these remotes give the Huskies and the opportunity to get our head football coach on the show. But they have no involvement of when they are here. We have requested that we would like to get coach Doeren and now Coach Carey on the show when they are here, but it's only a request. In terms of Coach Carey being on the show next week, I'm not sure of Coach Carey's schedule and where he is supposed to be, I'm sure he will be here if he can.

That being said we have tried very hard to schedule these remotes in the fall to help promote NIU and football. Last year it was Homecoming Friday and the year before it was the week or so before a big weekday ESPN game. We have been told that some of the best attended and highest rated remotes the Score has had, have been at Fatty's. The dates available for B&B are very limited, so we don't always get the best date.

Boers and Bernstein are at a bar almost every Friday. Can you tell me one time that B&B have talked about the town or place they are in (other than Wrigleyville) for more than a couple of minutes during the show? When they are here it's a pretty big topic compared to their normal Friday appearances.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments, I'll pass them on to the owner.

I know during the show we are giving away 3 pairs of Bulls Tickets and during the Hawks Game next Friday Night, we are giving away a Hawks jersey.

Thanks for posting and thanks for all of your efforts to be an important part of the NIU community. I live out of state but whenever I do visit DeKalb for a football game I visit Fattys before the game. I have also attended the pre-game tail gate that you held several years ago in Ann Arbor. Everything that you do seems well organized and supportive of NIU athletics.
