Yes. Nobody in Washington has the guts to bite the bullet and do it.

Yea, when we are not making our Budgets at work we just cut the rate of growth a bit. Not even close to reality, you make cuts and hard choices. In Governement if you even touch a growth rate, eveybody cries bloody murder. The President and Congress need a big dose of reality. It is all a crock of garbage, and we have not chance of getting out of it without a collaspe and rebuild.

Just stating the truth. Note I am not saying that the government can't cut, just that it will affect everyone if they do. Obviously there need to be cuts, I just think you find the cuts that are the least damaging to the country and the economy.

Government spending has increased the price of everything. Everyone buys things. Everyone has been hurt. Businesses have been closing, unemployment remains high, and annual raises and bonuses are not what the used to be, if they are at all.

Obama has spent the last five years talkiong about how we're all in this together and everyone has to pay their fair share, while the government has been expanding and government workers and politicians have been getting raises. Well, maybe it's finally time for the bureaucrats to eat their peas, and that just breaks my heart.

Eat your peas, civil servants. EAT YOUR MF PEAS!

Hope and change.

It ticks me off why cant these yahoos just cut what the majority agree NEEDS to be cut first...THEN do their back room negotiations for the rest?

At least it would be something rather than nothing.

This sums it up nicely, there is plenty of blame to be had..as an aside take a look at the last sentence in the article...wow!!

http://www.cnn.com/2013/02/27/opinion/ge...?hpt=hp_t1

One of the foremost duties of Congress is to pass a budget: It has failed for four straight years. Republicans, especially in the House, have continually refused to meet the White House halfway. Meanwhile, a president who promised to be a solution has become part of the problem. Ever since his re-election, Barack Obama has seemed more intent on campaigning than governing.

Please...get real

A statement Wednesday from Immigration and Customs Enforcement said that as "fiscal uncertainty remains over (government funding and potential cuts), ICE has reviewed its detained population to ensure detention levels stay within ICE's current budget. Over the last week, ICE has reviewed several hundred cases and placed these individuals on methods of supervision less costly than detention.

They have passed a budget. senate wont vote on it. Harry just buried it. vote the house down. he wont even put up for a vote

Washington D.C. is broken.......it needs a major overhaul
Good place to start: TERM LIMITS.......Mr. Congressman, you've got 12 yrs max to make a positive impact . Oh and btw, you don't get to walk away with healthcare benefits and a fat pension.

Chance of that happening? somewhere around 0%. They got a good thing going

No President passes a Budget, Congress does that. President's don't pass deficit budgets, that blame (responsibility) falls squarely on the House of Representatives which has had a Republicon majority for several 2 year terms now.
