Smart Owl. Got a nice ride to his destination. 05-stirthepot

Ford drivers are doo-doo heads.

I suppose I've been called worse. Only question I have is why I'm the one you call when you need to get pulled out of the ditch (besides the obvious answer that an F350 with a diesel engine will pull just about anything out of a ditch)?
I've never called you to come get me out of a ditch because A. I know how to keep it between the ditches, 2. I have 4 wheel drive, and lastly, I know the feeling about people calling you to pull them out.

When I graduated college I went against my roots and traded in my GMC for a 2006 Cummins with a Dodge built around it. It was 4 wheel drive and I swear people honestly thought it was my duty to pull heavy trailers for them or to come pull them out of a field in the rain at 3 in the morning.

Fair enough. I got my 1997 F250 in 1999. It has the F350 drive train, complete with the option to add duel rear wheels (I fun singles and don't have the flared fenders) and the transmission cooler, but the remainder (body) is an F250. I pull a fairly large trailer on occassion and my old F150 just didn't have enough power or weight to handle it comfortably. The big diesel I have in the current truck will probably run 1,000,000 miles or more, so it may be a lifetime buy for me. And you are right, if anyone wants anything towed or wants to move, I get called due to the truck and/or trailer.

I tell you I miss my diesel some days until I fill up my tank in that Z71 and I thank the Good Lord that Dodge didn't design the front end to withstand the weight, hence why I'm back in a Chevy.

Granted when I bought the Dodge, I was looking at a F-250 and a F-350 Dually (I was fresh out of school, made good money and had no bills).. The salesmen at the Ford Dealership didn't want to deal with me because I was a kid in a pair of shorts and flip flops looking at a $45k truck.

I understand the pain at the pump. Primarily that is because I have the dual tanks, so it cost about $100 to fill them both! But then I can drive a long ways - I'm averaging just over 24 mpg. Doesn't matter if it is city, highway, empty or with a 4,000 lb trailer behind it. I still get 24! Just don't ask me to drag race - I'd get really embarrassed if I even thought about taking you up on that.

I'll have to check it out. Mine is running straight stock at this point!

By the way, checked and found that Banks doesn't make a programmer for this truck. I'm looking at the SCT Performance Programmer. Any others you think I should take a look at?

That's funny considering I posted a video of our qb throwing NINE td passes on your non-existant secondary.

That being said, RUCK FICE!

Wow. You're making my point and further embarrassing many of your fellow Coogs who, with a few marked exceptions, I find to be pretty fine folks. Please tell me this is not the best you can do.

This was over 2 years ago....lol. Get yourself a copy of Dave Campbell's Texas Football Winter 2013 and take a look at the grade and stats of our "non-existing" secondary from this past season. We were rated an A- Then take a look at your secondary rated at a D. You really should not say things that aren't relevant anymore.

I have the SCT for my 05 F-250 but the only reason that I programmed was because I did the EGR delete and head studs and needed it to turn the Check Engine light off. Dangerous thing about programmers is that folks tend to "play" around with the tunes and end up toasting engines and transmissions, so be careful with it.

Rice students tried to smack talk UH on Facebook and now HUNDREDS of UH students have invaded the Rice Confessions page. We have been mortal enemies for decades and the hostility between the new generations say it will be this way for a very long time. :)

To make matters worse the REHEARSAL video for the UH Harlem shake made KHOU news...not many people even know Rice did a Harlem shake (and a ****** one at that). Just face it owls, you guys are no better than the gum beneath our boots.

When our official Harlem shake video comes out, we will put Rice to sleep for a while.

I'm only considering it to help the gas (diesel!) mileage. I'm not convinced yet that it is even worth it. I'm sure not going to risk a million mile motor that only has 150k on it for the sake of a few pennies.

Should we expect it after several years of artist renditions, near sponsorship announcements and passage of a new student fee? You know, about when everyone that's hip starts saying a Harlem shake is "like, ya know, like last decade's news"? 05-stirthepot

Ricedoc, have you checked out Bully Dog programmers? I know people that have used them as well and had great success.

Diesel engines have so much horsepower that is untapped due to car manufacturers regulating it.
