Major slide towards the big conferences....they also have Lousiville 3 spots ahead of Florida State, Utah State at 80 and teams like UCF at 40. Total garbage listings....

It's CFN. We could be a top 10 team the year before with everyone coming back and we'd still be in the bottom 40 schools the next year for CFN. It's like that EVERY year. It must be 10 years in a row (or more) that we've started out with the cellar-dwellers and moved up at least 50 spots by the end of the year. And most of the movement doesn't happen until we start getting votes for the top 25. That's how reactive they are.

CFN is right as often as a stopped clock, and for basically the same reason.

Absolutely not true. The Official Dog Fan 2013 Pre-Season Rankings has NIU at #1, Northwestern at #52, Iowa at #58, and Illinois at #107. So, in all reality (with a tip of the hat to Mr. Reality), we are the best ranked team in the state.

Maybe we need to get seven to move in to give us a more accurate report. That will also make the dorms safer.

Actually, when I went to NIU, the dorm food was excellent. IIRC, we were among the top in the nation. My girth can attest to that. Gosh, how I LOVED the food in Douglas and the Plaza!!
