Tulane actually isn't a religious school, but that still fits.

I always liked Pan-American Conference for the name of the Alliance that never happened but might now happen without us.

One of our St. Louis station hosts... called the Catholics the "Big Priest" (with the rhyming play on the Big East) and the others got left as the "Trans-Continental (Trannys)" (i think they were reading someone's post on here :) )

Yeah, CUSA is dubbed the worse BCS conference and you are the worse team in the conference. So, where does that leave USM? Your arrogance is amazing.

Since we stretch from the Atlantic to the Pacific I submitted a name to Aresco calling it the Atlantic Pacific conference or A-Pac for short. I also suggested the Patriot Conference if it didn't infringe on the Patriot League's rights.

If this two 8-team division conference does come together, who gets Texas? That's pretty fertile recruiting ground. Hard to see one division cede it to the other. Or do UH and SMU get split up?

That damn overly ambitious ULL is the 2nd largest university in the state of Louisiana, and has always been a part of the FBS.

RE: Conference America?
In 2012 nobody did it worse than USM. It was really hard to swallow since I can remember USM as Mississippi Southern College with Thad "Pie" Vann playing good football. I, like all USM fan who value the history of the program, believe we will return to being a very good team soon. Maybe because USM hasn't had but 9 losing seasons since 1935 I am being too optimistic, but I think we will see USM at least pull an upset over a well respected program ever so often.

ULL has been around a very long time. In USM's last season that they lost all games (1925) 1 of those losses came to ULL. The others came to the likes of Clarke Memorial College, Pensacola Naval Air Station, Spring Hill College, Pearl River Community College, Louisiana College, and the biggest Ole Miss Freshmen team. So ULL is hardly a late comer and has a long long history.

I don't think ULL even had a bowl history until last year. They weren't anything resembling USM's equal until all of the recent destabilization. And the fact that there would be any doubt whatsoever about this is EXACTLY what I was referring to.

I was just quoting Ellis Johnson. But if your point was "perverts don't understand football" then maybe you're onto something.
