Heisman Race
Preferences?

Much as I detest Notre Damn, I would like to see a defensive player win the award. Manti Te'o is fantastic.

I think Te'o wins based on his entire body of work over his four years at ND. Manziel is awesome, but he's a freshman... And his team isn't in the national championship. Those are always tie breakers in these popularity contests.

RE: Heisman Race
I bet most southern voters don't put Tei'o even third on their ballot. After pretending Alabama was as good as an NFL team the only way many can rationalize that they aren't is for them to be beaten by a super human player. The legend of Johnny Football is intertwined with SEC superiority so there is no way he doesn't win the award.

It's not a "Lifetime Achievement" award, or at least not supposed to be.

Having said that, my vote is for Te'o - best player on Number One team in country.

If he doesn't win, as Kelly said, they should rename Heisman "Most Outstanding OFFENSIVE (skill) College Football Player in country."

My vote would be for Manti Te'o.

But Johnny Manziel will win because he's a QB and plays in the SEC.

I'd be really bummed if anyone from ND ever wins anything worth while.

RE: Heisman Race
DB, you have turned into Walt Kowalski - before the physical.

You should adopt the Buffs as your new team so you have new conference and Big Boys (Oregon, USC, Stanford et al) to hate on while you still have time.

Boulder is too much like Ann Arbor. More like, they're JUST LIKE Ann Arbor right down to the Birkenstocks. I like CSU. Cool town, people and school.
