RE: Go Daddy Bowl
Multiple sources are now confirming that the fight between the Liberty and Go Daddy bowls is over who gets ASU, and who gets Iowa State. La Tech is either playing ULM, or playing NCAA2013 on PS3

RE: Go Daddy Bowl
If ASU accepts the Liberty Bowl invite will GoDaddy.com get pissed off and revoke the SBC contract? There's been a bit of confusion on who takes #1 and #2 the past few years so I'm sure they're not happy.

I think the Go Daddy would let StAte go if they could get Iowa State

Why are they fighting? Either Godaddy wants Iowa State or they don't. If they don't, they don't release stAte.

You would think so, but that is apparently not the case.

I think we all agree that barring some miracle, Benson hasn't done **** in this bowl stuff. NOLA inviting Cajuns was obvious. Indy inviting ULM after Tech declined was obvious. He hasn't accomplished anything in all of this bowl shuffling except a conference call to piss off MT.

I have to admit, the conference call was funny. Its almost like were voting someone off the island, rather than putting them in a bowl.
If he has any sense, he'll let us go to Liberty. ASU is the Belt's most recognizable team with everyone else leaving. Only way you make us mad is if you are certain we have no choice but to be stuck in the league.

Just worried that the longer this takes, the more likely it is LA Tech sneaks into Detroit.

I tend to believe that a conference could work out a deal. Whats stopping us from saying, "Here, we'll give you MTSU, and ASU gets to Liberty, WKU goes to Detroit, and the I Bowl can have Iowa StatE"
I mean, thats still theoretically possible. La Tech is not going bowling. Their football players are practically confirming that on twitter.

Just want to throw this out there....it's been rumored the Little Caesars could pick Bowling Green vs Toledo.
I hope not, I like the Sun Belt and would like to see a Sun Belt v MAC game.

Decline a bowl, then you should get left out completely...sounds fine to me. Us stAte folks aren't talking about declining bowls...we just want one bowl to release us so we can attend another.

This place might riot if that happens.
Currently the only league members happy with their bowl outlook reside in Louisiana.

That would be ideal. But why would Godaddy agree to that at this point when they could have done that all along?

RE: Go Daddy Bowl
If LA Tech really is out, and it sure looks that way, I really hope those bowls work out that deal to avoid a 6-6 CMU playing in any game. I think all four bowls need to recognize that they don't want that to happen to them and the only way to avoid it is to do what Chiefsfan mentioned above.

That can be worked out easily.
Detroit takes WKU
Memphis takes ASU
Mobile takes MTSU
Independence takes Iowa State
Tech and CMU sit home
Why we cant all agree to get that done is beyond my comprehension. CMU goes bowling if the Go Daddy will not release ASU.

They don't want the last pick from the Belt. They're supposed to get either the first or second pick. Not some leftover. Is this how the Belt wants to reward its bowl partners? Or to attract other bowl partners?
