Well......this might come off harsh but in my opinion, we actually got an upgrade with MTSU replacing Tulane.

IA, outside of baseball & academics Tulane gave CUSA. Middle Tenn. is just as good in football & better in basketball
I picked Arkansas St & Western Kentucky

I would have to think that Arkansas State, WKU and Texas State are the front-runners. Arkansas State just come off winning the Sunbelt two years in a row. WKU is obviously a nice rival for MTSU and has great basketball tradition. Texas State is located in a great location to build rivalries with UTSA, Rice, North Texas etc. Beautiful stadium. Great name.
Either of those three could be good replacements.

I voted for these 3.
Arkansas State
Western Kentucky
Texas State
But it will probably be them 3 plus NMSU.
This is where I think CUSA is headed............
CUSA WEST--North Texas, UTEP, Tulsa, UTSA, Texas State, NMSU, Rice, Arkansas St, LaTech
CUSA EAST--FAU, FIU, Marshall, Southern Miss, Old Dominion, Charlotte, UAB, WKU, MTSU

I like it. But check the attendance:

A picture of the band on the field? How do we not know this picture was taken an hour or so before game time?

I'd like the western terminus of the conference to be in the central time zone, to whomever that applies.

I assumed halftime. Read the caption. It came from bobcatreport.com. I wouldn't think he would try to screw over the school he covers.
Edit: digging further on that twitter account I see he says 18k is the avg attendance for the season. If that's the case I believe that's better than FIU, FAU, and MTSU.

JD, you are a great poster. Have been a great moderator on this board which is much appreciated by all.
CUSA lost a great academic school in Tulane....but when comparing athletics, (particularly football and basketball) its a no brainer that MTSU was an upgrade. Not only in athletics, but in facilities as well.

San Marcos, TX is just outside San Antonio, and we already have UTSA. Ark St and WKU are probably our next targets.

For Marshall's purposes, probably so. MTSU will be competitive member, win 5-7 games every year, just like Marshall. Make the NIT once in a while, just like Marshall. But in the meantime, C-USA is marginalizing other universities which, while struggling now, have superior resources, have shown the ability to put ranked teams on the field, have shown the ability to play upper level basketball. Keep doing it and you'll end up with the sunbelt's TV contract and a lot of regional football. And that may be what the now majority of C-USA wants, at this point.

In order to make a properly educated decision, I believe there should be pictures of hotties from each school...
