They said they wanted to see support. We showed them jack. I didn't say its not the BOT,s fault. We wanted a stadium, they said prove you can support it. you can name all the excuses you want, but it doesnt change the fact that they made a demand and instead of meeting the demand, everyone sat around and whined like a bunch of welfare babies.

It's time to quit blaming everything on the BOT and start working toward self sufficiency.

MB, it sounds like you actually believe the UA BOT.

It's a catch-22. We need more fan support and its not happening at Legion Field, especially with losing seasons. An OCS would improve the UAB football program in many ways, from recruiting to fan support. It would also put a stamp of permanency on our football program. We are between a rock and a hard place without the OCS, and the UA BOT knows that. They have established some boundaries that put us at a great disadvantage.

When was the last time the UA BOT put the UAT football program at a great disadvantage?

And...they love Walmart.

why don't we go ahead with the stadium anyway and give the BOT a big ole middle finger. fans, students, and alumni want an OCS so why should we respond to people who don't even have the best interest in us. i say screw em and build the damn thing

Accepting Partials has nothing to do with UAB, that's a CUSA restriction. Marshall, for instance, used to fuel their entire football program on Props, but when they went from MAC to CUSA that wasn't an option any longer.
