According to StillJonesing's Super Efficiency Power Index, Charlotte didn't really win.

Sorry, 49ers... Better luck next time.

Yeah I'm sure SJ would have been quite cordial had you won. 99% of us do not hold hostility against ECU, just the troll that is SJ who comes to our board and puffs out his chest for two months blabbering about rpi this and per that. Then he disappears as soon as he losses.

I for one, would like to continue the in-state rivalry, regardless of conference affiliation, because I still believe it is in the long term interest of both schools to be connected. Here's to future games and rivalries between two large schools.04-cheers

Sorry about getting caried away with the "garbage" trash talk... We had some heated back and forth discussions that made this game that much more enjoyable. ECU will be missed as a conference for..solid organization

Yes...and Halton is very hard to come into and win.

Its not the Mine Shaft of old, but its pretty close when we fill it up.

Pirates shouldn't be too upset though. Here's another team that's never won a game in Halton:

Halton is not that tough; in fact the place didn't even look that full. The difference was that Charlotte was allowed to play their rough and tumble brand of ball. Our big men (Guilmette and Armstrong) looked timid and that is all that Charlotte needed to build the early cushion in the first 5 minutes that they eventually won by.

Our guards need to wake the Hell up too, but at least they adjusted to Charlotte's tactics. The two big guys never did.

SJ is one guy, and the fact that he gets under so many of your fans' skin means he wins every time. He doesn't represent the opinions of every single ECU fan.

You guys didn't pay the refs. The refs actually cleaned up the action after the almost near fight. The problem was that you all were more physical (kind of borderline dirty but it worked) and ECU didn't press or play zone defense. Even when ECU cut the lead down, you should have been expecting to be pressed; but Lebo always called it off.

Marv...You do understand that you just agreed with me that Halton is a tough place to come into and win?..right?

ECU has never gotten within single digits in a loss in Halton. It might not be tough, but it sure ain't easy for ECU.

I agree. I don't know why anyone bothers getting upset by him. He's not even a good troll, just a dumb dude who blindly loves his team.

You can stop the whining at any time. Your guys weren't prepared for a more athletic team. They couldn't find an answer for it, and lost. Happens several times every day in college basketball.

You're joking right? The two hardest fouls of the game were both by Kemp. One was called flagrant and the other the refs discussed for a while before deciding not to call it flagrant.

He's the one on OUR board talking crazy. That dude is 85% of the malice I have for ECU (and I don't have that much). He made his bed on this board and the Nation, let him lie in it.

Kemp didn't flagarantly foul Braswell. They both were going for the rebound, which is why the 2 refs corrected the bad call made by the other ref.

Two guys just going for the ball? I've seen softer tackles on the football field. Also interesting that you didn't defend his actions on the foul on Henry.

They played A10 basketball. We played CUSA basketball. Nuff said. I would LOVE to be in the A10 BTW. It would give us a schedule to sell to recruits for the FIRST time in ECU BB history.

It is going to be interesting to see Charlotte basketball fares after a few seasons of playing both FB and BB in the nCUSA. I hope they are able to continue their success.

Yeah, I am not looking forward to CUSA basketball at all. It makes me sick when I think about next season.

In all seriousness; your players could be called for fouls on just about every trip down the floor. The refs have to give you guys some leeway, because that is your style of play; but those are still fouls.

My concern would be what happens if FB starts driving the bus...and it WILL. It is very hard to be good in both. Very few programs pull it off.

I think being in the BE or A10 would help our BB program..but..even with that...it still would be very hard to be good in both FB and BB consistently.
