The hypothetical add 'em all
ACC Atlantic North
- Boston College
- UCONN
- Syracuse
- Cincinnati
(Notre Dame, basketball etc only)

ACC Atlantic South
- Virginia
- Virginia Tech
- Louisville
- Pittsburgh

ACC Coastal North
- North Carolina
- Wake Forest
- Duke
- NC State

ACC Coastal South
- Georgia Tech
- Florida State
- Clemson
- Miami

Football:
You play everybody in your pod: 3 games.
You rotate three in your other divisional pod with 1 permanent rival: 3 games.
--- Rivals: CU-NCST, FSU-WF, GT-DU, Miami-UNC, UofL-Cincy, .. uhh ... this gets messy and non-sensical now...
You rotate one in each of the other divisional pods: 2 games.
= 8 games

Basketball:
Home and home round robin with your division: 8+6 = 14 games
Two games against teams in other divisional pods: 2+2 = 4 games
= 18 games

Baseball:
DIFFERENT DIVISIONS OR ELIMINATE DIVISIONS. The entire Coastal Division is murderer's row. Literally only Duke in the Coastal wouldn't be ranked or receiving votes.

ND as all but FB really effs everything up

RE: The hypothetical add 'em all
Rebooted with zipper pods and ND as full member:

(Symbols to right indicate rivalry matches)
ACC Atlantic A
- Boston College (R-VT, Pitt, Cuse, ND)
- Virginia Tech (R-BC, Cincy, CU, UVA)
- NC State (R-Miami, UNC, WF, Duke)
- Miami (R-NCST, UofL, FSU, GT)

ACC Atlantic B
- Cincinnati (R-Pitt, VT, UofL, WF)
- Pittsburgh (R-Cincy, BC, Cuse, ND)
- North Carolina (R-FSU, NCST, UVA, Duke)
- Florida State (R-UNC, Miami, CU, GT)

ACC Coastal A
- Syracuse (R-UofL, BC, Pitt, ND)
- Louisville (R-Cuse, Miami, Cincy, UVA)
- Duke (R-CU, UNC, NCST, WF)
- Clemson (R-Duke, VT, FSU, GT)

ACC Coastal B
- Notre Dame (R-GT, BC, Pitt, Cuse)
- Virginia (R-WF, VT, UNC, UofL)
- Wake Forest (R-UVA, Cincy, NCST, Duke)
- Georgia Tech (R-ND, Miami, FSU, CU)

Stunningly .... I think ALL rivalries are maintained. All of NC plays all of NC (except UNC-WF). GT/CU/FSU all play each other. VT has 2 NC games. Pitt-ND, ND-BC, Cincy-UofL, Miami-FSU, UVA-UNC, UVA-VT. It's all there. It isn't elegant. But it is effective.

Football:
One game against each pod: 4 games.
One permanent rival in each pod: 4 games
--- Rivals: (see key above) .... I'm stunned it actually makes ALL rivalries still work.
= 8 games

Basketball:
Home and home with one permanent rival in each pod: 4+4 = 8 games
Game against permanent rival in each pod: 4 games
3 Games on rotation in each division: 6 games
= 18 games

Baseball:
Something similar to basketball ... too lazy to look up conference games and series and such.

Doubt very much they'd have the money for that.
