RE: OT: The Walking Dead
I swear, if Maggie is raped by the Governor or Merle I think I will vomit. I hope that they simply beat the hell out of Glenn; he can suffer, she cannot.

I'm getting the idea that the Governor is a bad man who was once good... then as the world fell apart, he lost it in order to survive. Rick has at least kept himself in check; the Governor will not do that. In other words, he has let himself become evil while Rick is trying to hold on...

Re: OT: The Walking Dead
I was almost right in that the phone was from Lori and folks. I may read too much into it. But it was most of the people that died that were "good", no Shane or jail guy. Probably Ricks coping mechanism for what he's done. His friends and loved ones died and are in a better place now, a safe place.

He's now has personal closure for what he had to do for the better of the group.

And those guys on talking dead are never going to give something away but the Carol thing is still kind of strange. Obviously Daryl was prepared to re-kill her but that seems weird to me how it played out. Like there is more to that hole thing.

I am loving the zombie kills in this season, they def have a bigger budget.

And that girl with the bow sucks... Olympics, can't even hit a zombie.

Same thought went through my head. Apparently Olympic archers are picked out of the stands before competitions according to TWD.

I saw that at Barnes & Noble; was it good?

I would strongly recommend World War Z and the Day By Day Armageddon series. Both are really well written and a lot of fun to lose yourself in.

I'm reading World War Z. A really interesting and downright innovative take on things.

I'm thinking-and hoping-that the trailer is just showing Brad before everything that happened and then it's going to skip to the aftermath. I see that trailer maybe capturing the first 10 mins of the movie. I can't imagine Max Brooks would take it any other way.

I've heard good things about that book, still haven't picked it up yet. I had high hopes for the movie but the trailer for it completely underwhelmed me. I don't get the zombies looking like a tidal wave of track stars. I think 28 Days/Weeks Later and Dawn of the Dead remake pulled off zombies the best, not shambling slow but able to run somewhat normally. Speaking of zombieish movies, has anyone seen the trailer for the new Evil Dead movie? Looks pretty interesting.

If he sold the rights, he may not have any say in it.

Brad Pitt's company missed the boat on what was so awesome about the story... it was still great even though you knew how it ended. The "interview process" would be awesome if casted right; flashbacks could have provided the action.

The movie may still be good... but they decided to do the story in real time instead of the way it was intended to be told.

I'm finally caught up on the show and i read through the whole thread. Its funny how completely off some of the predictions were. I stalled halfway through season 2 because i was getting bored with the direction but the second half and on has kicked ass. Really sad T-dogg was killed off, glad Lori was. Can't wait till Sunday but I'm still wondering if Morgan and Dwayne are ever coming back.

I don't remember Dwayne, but I know the answer to the Morgan question. If you care to hear it, I'll PM it to you.
