Do I have this correct?
Oh I see, when UofL pulls a "Kragthorpe" they get a pass, but when someone else does they haven't contributed.
I only want the same consideration as everyone else. You, and many others, keep saying STFU because we sucked on the football field the last few years, ignoring the fundamental strength of our athletic department.
Now you are complaining when I shine that same spotlight on your program. So, which is it? Are recent results in the major sports the only important measure of conference contribution or not?
Pick one and stick to it. I'm getting whiplash keeping up with the flip flopping. Or is it possible that you are a flaming hypocrite? Or maybe just too slow to recognize a double standard when you see one?

Said the fan of the school that doesn't even participate in football.
Can we at least make it a rule that fans of non-football schools keep their traps shut instead of being critical about football playing schools? Thank you.

Even with only 6 scholarship players last year we still put a kid in the NBA and he wasn't even the freshman of the year in the league (that kid is coming back to us this season).
It sucks when your basketball team sucks. It really sucks when your basketball team sucks worse than a Kragthorpe coached Louisville football team. That's like the ultimate suckitude. Condolences.
So, I'm confused. You are defending your teams recent lack of success while attacking ours. Tell me again, is this in or out of bounds?

Huh. Here I was thinking the whole thing belonged to Providence. I guess I didn't get the memo. Do you have your notarized title available for inspection?

You thought you were better than everyone else and didn't want to share money and the league never got off the ground. Looks like three decades later you guys still have the same arrogance that doomed the Metro Conference.
You do realize that Va Tech, South Carolina, and Florida State were in that conference right? And you do realize they did NOT want to share any of their football money right? Why would Louisville commit to sharing basketball money in a Metro conference, where none of the football powers were on board to share their football money? Explain that one to me.
Also, it was still viable to be an independent in football. You can look at some of our football schedules from that era, Temple, Pitt, Penn State, WVU, etc. None of those schools were in a conference either. I guess they sucked too? Seriously, none of them could measure up to St. Johns, right?
We were unique in that we made boat loads of money with basketball, so we didn't have to be in a football league. When the age of independents came to a close, we were successful in our first and only attempt at starting a football playing league, as we were a founding member of C-USA. And we then shared our basketball money with our new conference mates, just like a good conference mate does. Houston, SMU, and UCF can thank us next year as they join the nBE.
St. John's obviously existed on a higher plane of reality. The plane then known as TFPC, the Friends of Providence College. May I touch the hem of your robes?
