More proof the media is left wing ...
The price of gas was $1.79/gallon when Obama took office. It is now $3.87/gallon.

This fact has not been mentioned once in the media during this campaign. Draw upon your vast knowledge and experience in these matters and answer this question ... do you think the price of gas would be an issue in this campaign if we had a Republican in the White House?

I'll take a wild guess and say the media would make this an issue if we had a Republican president.

The media did go nuts when Bush was president. In fact, people on this board accused Bush of getting his oil buddies rich at our expense. But now, crickets.

I watch the local morning news almost every day (CBS). The price of gas is a frequent item discussed.

Sadly, the oil companies and speculators have won, we've just learned to accept that we are powerless.

Do they ever question the administration about it? No. Do they ever mention the price of gas and the Obama Administration in the same sentence? No.

The media won't make it a campaign issue for Obama. But if Bush was president, and you Googled "Bush gas prices", you'd get a million hits.

If you run out to fill your tank because you know the price of gas is going up tomorrow than you're a speculator tom..

Gas was $1.79 at the end of the Bush administration because we were in a recession and demand for oil plummeted. It was over $3 before that.

These guys aren't very bright. THey claim to understand supply and demand but continually show their stupidity on the subject. THis is a big reason why the mainstream doesn't take any of their crackpot ideas seriously.

I'm so glad we're out of the recession, everyone has a job and the economy is booming. Praise be Obama.

You'll also notice that there are only homeless people when there's a Republican in the White House.

Are they all crashing at Obama's Chicago place?

Yes, I remember the first Reagan Administration. In 1983, 80% of the economic statistics were good (unemployment down, the stock market up, etc.). But 90% of the network stories on the economy were downers (homeless people everywhere, foreclosures ... all due to "Reaganomics").

What a joke.

Obama isn't fixing the Republican Recession fast enough. Hey, let's give the keys back to the Republicans!

So, right wing media (Fox, Wall St. Journal, Forbes, Breitbart, WND, The Blaze, Drudge, Newsmax, The Internet, etc.) is all over this then?

That would be a good idea. Maybe we could retain at least some of the principles this country was founded on.

So you are for putting this country back into a recession? Well, I guess it has been the goal from day one when the President took office(at least keep us in one).

Actually, it has come to a slow process forward because the Republicons won't let him do his damn work and no, we don't want the Republicons to get the keys back. I hate breathing dirty air and drinking polluted water.
