Jesus Christ some of you need to toughen up! Nothing was written that even came close to being anti-Semitic. It is a jab at the 9th largest Jewish school in the country! There is a huge difference between biggotry, religious intolerance or racial slurs than a damn joke.

Some of your are offended way to easily, I know one poster is married to a Jewish woman and I am sure he is laughing all the way to the bank! I can somewhat understand, although nothing was said that was derogatory towards his wife or two kids.

I could take offense to the term coon ass as it is derived from the word conasse which translates to Cheap whore. But the majority of Cajuns don't because we have developed thick skin because of all the Mosquitos that we have to deal with.

Oh one more thing, Mobile must be full of political correct liberal rantards because nothing written in this thread has crossed any line remotely close to being a slur.

First year in FBS will be painful. Lose either of those two games and I'll be pissed. Maybe grab a win from New Mexico, Idaho, or NMSU.

@Troy - (W) This one will be tough, but the same energy the cajuns brought for the Troy game last year will be brought again. First conference game and the new cajuns play better when they have something to prove and They haven't won a road opener in forever and troy hasn't lost a home opener in forever, they will use this for motivation.
@Oklahoma State - (L) Until we prove we can beat a BCS team on the road this has to be an L. This will be the better of the 2 BCS matchups for the cajuns, and I think that we will play well against OSU, but still, I think we'll go down in the 4th.
FIU - (W) Tough tough game here, cajuns are good at home, FIU still has to find someone to replace goodbye and I'm not buying the hype on them.
Tulane - (W) Really...we'll heal up, put in subs in the 2nd half.
@UNT on ESPN - (L) I think we'll trip up somewhere in conference, and I just have a bad feeling about this game. I don't feel that UNT is the better team, but I just have a feeling that the cajuns will trip up somewhere and I think this has the potential for the cajuns to have a flat game after a good start for the season
stAte on ESPN - (W) Sellout crowd at cajunfield on national TV, cajuns rebound from letdown in denton to take down the defending champs. Cajuns are hard to beat at home, stAte has always been rough on the road, energy from the revealing of the new stadium and sellout crowd plus ESPN gives the cajuns to much energy. Pull away in the 4th to win by 10 But close throughout until then.
@ULM - (W) This will be a surprisingly close game after the cajuns just came off an emotional incredible home victory against stAte. ULM gets up early, cajuns find a second wind in front of a good traveling crowd by the cajuns and pull out a victory.
@Florida - (L) Would be shocked if we won this game, would most likely be most impressive victory for our conference this season...not holding my breath though. Florida is a top 15 team.
WKU - (W) WKU in lafayette is a 4 letter word now when it comes to football. I have a feeling the team will be PIIIIIIIISSSSSSEEEED for this game.
USA - (W) USA still has a ways to go to be competitive in the league, but it will be fun to watch a new conference team at home
@FAU - (W) they will be playing role of spoiler, but they just don't have the guns to compete. They'll make it interesting for a while, but won't be able to hold off the cajuns.

Final record 9-3 and conference championship, will head to New Orleans for their bowl, and they will again, not face a CUSA team. They'll face an atlarge team from somewhere

This is my very rough draft. There will most likely only be, a rough draft, as I'm not in the business of predicting. For the toss ups, UAB has never been on our level, and we tend to play down to them and they tend to play up to us. If they say otherwise, ask them if they're a better program than southern miss, whom the blazers are 3-0 over the last three years. FAU is a strange pick, but I think they'll be improved, and we'll be down after a could be loss to FIU and could be looking ahead to Tennessee. On Arkansas State, I don't expect them to win the conference, or come close to last season's win total, but by that point in the season, their offense is going to be awefully tough to stop. I think they drop some early sunbelt matchups though.

The point of your jab, as you call it, was that Tulane has a large Jewish population, which means referencing that fact is supposed to belittle the school. If you're belittling the school because it's Jewish than by extension you are belittling all Jewish people. On some level you must realize that the term Jewlane is meant to be derogatory or you wouldn't have followed with a "(sorry Jews)". So yes, for my wife and kids I feel obliged to speak up and say something. BTW, the line about laughing all the way to the bank sort of references another stereotype as well, doesn't it? My wife is not from a wealthy family. Yes, Jewish people can be middle or even lower class just like regular people!

As I said in another post on this same topic, I have Cajun friends who have no problem with me calling them "*******" but I wouldn't post that term on this message board out of respect for those that would be justifiably offended by it. I'm asking for the same respect.

The world informs them there is ONE university of the people of the state of Louisiana and that would be LSU. Then for years we have to listen to the whining and groaning when someone says ULL. But those same enlightened cajun fans think racial slurs are ok. I love it.

If politically correct means we never even considered electing a grossly unqualified grand wizard of the KKK to a state office and almost to the US Senate we are guilty . Guilty!!

You think that because you wore a service uniform that gives you the right to speak down to people? Good job representing your uniform.

Again there were no racial slurs written. As far as David Duke getting elected to public office in a district that has a history of Klan activity. The Florida Parishes do not represent in any way what Acadiana and Cajuns. I was also not of voting age when he ran for office.

As for as my Jewlane Joke I will appologize to all offended parties, but seriously grow thicker skin.
