If you have any kids, please do not teach them life lessons using Ric Flair as an example. You can use him as a mentor for yourself, but please, please spare the kids. We don't want them growing up as a adult that makes life decisions with Ric Flair logic.

Just let me know when your donations get on par with Georgia Southern. Right now the fact that we raised more money in one year than Ga State has raised in the past 4 combined is downright embarrassing. downright embarrassing, yes one more time downright embarrassing.

Not to worry CajunHawk, Ga. Southern gets a shot at the title when they head north to Athens. Potential top 10 vs. top 10 matchup. Since a rasslin reference was used, it's kind of like title vs. title, World Heavyweight champ vs. Cruiserweight champ.
Also, don't lump App in with Ga. Southern in anything. Better fans, better people in Boone. Definitely better facilities.
I'm thoroughly entertained by Ga. Southern, they don't know who they are. From stealing from Alabama with the numbers on helmets/Blue Tide, chants they do in the stadium to continually hiring coordinators from big brother - Russell, VanGorder, to now from big sister Ga. Tech.
In all seriousness though, Ga. Southern taking the Montana approach and staying in FCS is the smartest thing they could ever do. They'll never have the financial resources/facilities to compete in FBS year to year. It's not meant to be a personal attack, it's just how it is.

You do realize that you insulted have the programs on this board, right? You do realize once our proposed student fee passes our budget will be in the mid $17 million range which is more than half the Sun Belt. Our budget now is just below Ark State.

Just want to make you aware of what you posted as you seem a bit clueless.

Sounds like your program had a few beatdowns from Ga Southern during the greatest run by any program in division 1 history. Beatdowns will make you bitter, so I understand...no need to explain.

RE: Ga Southern announces it's staying in the SoCon
I know our last year of football with 40 players we were in most games including Ga. Southern. To me it's nothing more than simply stating a fact. Sadly, what you're saying is the university is going to just jack up the fees on students so you can attempt to get into FBS football. Your budget last year according to USA Today's database was a little over 11 million dollars. Now, knowing that ETSU's is over 12 (and yes, our A.D. is horrible with money) but that tells me that Ga. Southern is mortgaging other sports to pay for football, 72 percent of it on the backs of students in 2011.
I'm not insulting the other schools in the Sun Belt, they belong here. Ga. Southern doesn't. And there's nothing wrong with that but that's what your fanbase doesn't understand.
Now go back to "Where's your football" or "you're just saying all this due to butthurt/jealousy" stuff. For me it's none of the above, but it's obvious to me that based on how defensive Eagle fans get that deep down you know there's some truth to what I'm saying.

There you go insulting the Sun Belt schools again. You do realize that nearly all of the Sun Belt schools rely heavily on student fees right?

Only FIU (Who's leaving) and South Alabama have higher percentages of student subsidies than Ga. Southern according the 2011 numbers.
The closest to Ga. Southern is Middle Tennessee at 67 percent. Simply put, calm down there chief. Get ready for Elon and Western Carolina.

Ga State is 87%.

You sure talk big considering your school's football program folded. That rarely happens. Extremely embarrasing. I wouldn't show face on a message board, much less look foolish enough to actually talk smack. When you are getting ready for ETSU women's volleyball in the fall, Ga Southern will be doing more of this.

Having articles written about them for losing with style?

In the words of the Bear "I'm a win man, myself, so if you'll excuse me..."

6 national titles in 8 title appearances in a playoff format over a 16 year period ...........the greatest run in division I football history.

If you need me to throw around numbers regarding winning, that won't be a problem my friend. Sad to say but the ETSU guy whose football team folded can talk more smack than you at this point. You guys try to beat Ga State next year at least......good lord NAIA St Francis beat them and USA couldn't.

Just make sure you beat Ga State this year. Last year, Ga State lost to an NAIA and Divison II team, yet they took care of USA. Embarrasing. Before you talk FCS smack, handle the NAIA and Division 2 teams first.

Happens. We also beat UTSA at home who beat GSU at home. Transitive property does not apply to football, and I know how much that hurts to hear because its a core pillar of FCS life.

Good luck in your play off run.

So that's your claim to fame - that you beat Georgia St last year?

Actually they lost to Ga State. Something that West Alabama and NAIA St Francis can't say.

Awww you come up with that all by yourself? Wow, you must be a big boy now using ten year old smack that most ETSU fans (myself included) use to rail on our schools. And at the Division I level it's been us and Hofstra, while South Alabama, Ga. State, Old Dominion, Charlotte, Mercer, Stetson, Kennesaw State, Coastal Carolina and several others have all either announced football or are playing. How does it feel by the way to get passed by ODU and Charlotte? How's it going to feel when Kennesaw gets a team on the field and goes FBS, ahead of Jawja Suthan? Junior, I've watched Ga. So try and try to move up, but at the end of the day, it comes down to dollars that the Eagles will never have. If college football were like South Park, Ga. Southern would be Kenny.
Ga. State isn't in the Sun Belt yet, that's next year. When's Ga. Southern joining again? Oh, that hasn't happened yet.
Good luck with Western Carolina, I hear the Catamounts have a new coach.
