Nothing...from no where...has came out yet-(Brian Murphy/Brett McMurphy)...but "If" Boise State had to back out and no SDSU then really USM & ECU should get the next calls.

USM has (for the money they put into it), a damn good athletic department. ECU is up and down, but puts 50k+ in the stands, regardless of if they're any good or not. Put them in the nBE, and that could grow to 60k+.

Yeah, you see we founded this league with some other non-FB schools and belive it or not despite what message board trolls say we have some pull in the conference and we all vote as a block so our 8 votes can easily keep you out. And in all honesty none of us have any interest in playing you in any sports.

Not sure what the confusion would be about a school wanting to come that was ranked in football, went dancing in basketball, and nine straight baseball regionals. It's not like we are a weak or new school. Mutual benefits, my friend. At ease...

Don't get me wrong, I get what you were trying to do. My beef is really more with how overplayed the song is...even reading the lyrics makes me want to

The Big East is taking a gamble on a program that won a lot of games in a rather weak conference but brings with them the street cred of beating the big boys when they get a chance to play them on the field.

If Boise State does go bad down the line what happens? I remember Marshall had a nice run for a while but they didn't hold up in C-USA. Louisville hit a road block when they hired the wrong coach. Those programs had the benefit of being rather regional conferences, Boise State does not.

Right now the gamble might be worth; however, you do wonder if a better long term solutions are out there. ECU, Southern Miss, UMass, and Marshall are out there in the east. Basketball only schools could look at Dayton, Xavier, Butler and St. Louis as well.

You wonder what the TV contract without Boise State would be? If its any near the same then add one of worthy C-USA programs and call it a day.

ECU built 120 million dollars of facilities all on their own.
That's more than Boise State built even after multiple trips to BCS bowls and it's as much as anyone
else has done in this league. In the whole league.
Every single facility is brand new but basketball which is getting a 16 million dollar upgrade as we speak.
